SKYROCKETS IN FLIGHT...AFTERNOON DELIGHT!

Superior Court rejects attorney Carlo’s demand
Penal investigation against Joran van der Sloot is not closed

Diario, March 9, 2006

ORANJESTAD (AAN): Wednesday, the judge’s decision became known, in the case which attorney Carlo brought forward, representing Joran van der Sloot. Attorney Antony Carlo started a case a few weeks back, to request that the Public Prosecutor declare that his client Joran van der Sloot is officially no longer a suspect in the case of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, or to instruct the Public Prosecutor to set a period of time within which they have to start a case against his client. Both petitions were denied by judge Smid of Curaçao.

ORANJESTAD – Last Monday, attorney Carlo started a case in which he asked the Superior Court to close the penal case against his client, Joran van der Sloot. For this case, a judge from Curaçao traveled to Aruba, in which Mr. Carlo as well as the representative of the Public Prosecutor widely debated in court. Treatment of the case took place behind closed doors, which made it difficult for Bon Dia Aruba to cover it. However, an investigation conducted by Bon Dia Aruba shows that Mr. Carlo, among other facts that there is no new developments in the investigation, argued that they have to close the penal investigation against Joran van der Sloot. Tuesday, the Superior Court handed down the sentence in Curaçao and yesterday, the verdict was finally known. Bond Dia Aruba has understood that the Superior Court denied Mr. Carlo’s demand. This means that the Superior Court is not closing the penal investigation against Joran van der Sloot.

Judge Smid was about to grant Joran's innocence plea in the eleventh hour just like the other petitions submitted previously by Joran's lawyer Carlos. The Royal Messenger from Queen Beatrix's Palace in Hague kicked down the closed doors and dashed into the secret courtroom and proclaimed "Treason! Let Joran be the Enemy of the Kingdom! So God
Bless the Queen!" Judge Smid trembled and fell off his leather high chair and humbly cried "May the Queen have mercy on your servant". So Judge Smid adamantly threw out all the petition folders from his docket into lawyer Carlos's lapbag. And Carlo was slowly and humbly looking down the courtroom floor and back-stepping out of the cortroom door threshold. Now you know Joran had disturbed the Queen's peace of mind by his recent rampant madness of the ABC and FOX interviews. And Joran is titled as the Enemy of the Kingdom! Man! That is serious! Joe Tacopina has to be on the
highest alert because the Queen's Messenger is after him now!

They probably expected this. It can be appealed. The judge just wants to hold him as a suspect until they close the case.

Right now he is released without prejudice, meaning he can go and do whatever wants to . He was just trying to get an official clearing of his name. He will get that later and probably monetary compensations for the damage that has been done to his life.
