DUTCH DRUG DEALING TEENS

22 December 2005

AMSTERDAM-- Education Minister Maria van der Hoeven urged managers of secondary schools on Thursday to investigate the extent of drug dealing and drug use among their pupils. A discussion about the problem should follow, she said, and pupils who sell drugs should be reported to the police. "It remains the responsibility of the school to be alert. That demands continuous attention for the problem," the minister said.

Van der Hoeven issued her statement early on Thursday in reaction to a survey which indicates both hard and soft drugs are widely available in secondary schools in the Netherlands. In most cases the drugs are sold by pupils. Journalists working for online youth magazine 'Spunk' conducted a sample survey of 80 secondary schools. The researchers looked at the situation in at least two schools in every province in the Netherlands.

At a time when Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende has been expressing concern about allowing cannabis coffeeshops to operate in the vicinity of schools, the survey indicates the presence of student drug dealers in 89 percent of secondary schools. The magazine said 'grass' and 'hash' are available in 93 percent of the schools, and pupils in 61 percent of the schools can obtain Ecstasy on the school premises. Cocaine is on sale in 40 percent of the schools, and 'speed' (amphetamine) in 19 percent of the schools surveyed. LSD, the club drug GBH and magic mushrooms are other drugs often traded in schools.

The 'Spunk' survey covers both 'zarte' (black) and 'witte' (white) schools, terms used to indicate whether the majority of pupils come mainly from an immigrant or native Dutch background. Hard drugs, like cocaine and Ecstasy, are easier to get in the schools that teach the higher HAVO/VWO educational stream, the survey found.

Maybe you should get policemen in your schools...your island has more drug problems PER CAPITA than the U.S.

As for your other remark, the aruba legal system is different from the U.S., as all of you keep reiterating. So, don't compare your pathetic system to ours. And by the way, I DO KNOW about the U.S.legal system. I am not a practicing lawyer, but I went to law school. IN THE US...where the law schools are known to be the most excellent in the world. What kind of law schools do you have down there? Community College Law Schools?

How do you know I'm a bitch? I'm all man, baby. Just like your precious Joran...but not a psychotic and sociopath who likes to see himself in the limelight.

Anyone who is NOT GUILTY would not post their pictures (including his arrest pictures and news pictures) proudly and with no conscience on the internet for everyone to see. He is a classic narcissist. Anyone who is innocent would want to get on with their lives as an unknown. He's getting on with his life in Holland, but hasn't lost the addiction to his sick fame.

Perhaps he gets off from people like you...I've heard he's into the prostitutes and child sex slaves from the casino. Could you be one of them? Are you being paid by the Van Der Sloots to say nice things about their psychotic son?

Sorry to say MrsKrass, but you are the sad bitch. Keep your panties on and do your homework...read up on criminal acts and how their minds work. You MAY learn something, but something tells me that you won't. Try reading the book, "Criminal Law for Dummies".

I am of Aruban descent. I am offended by this site. I offended that if this girl was killed in downtown Birmingham you would not be treating people from there the way you are treating us. We are a simple, happy people. Respect us.
