A STATUTE PERFECTLY SUITED FOR JORAN VAN DER SLUT

Let's refresh our memories...not too long ago, Rudy Croes publicly decried after the "hidden video" tapes of Joran's confessions to Patrick van der Eem aired, that van der Sloot is "persona non grata" on the island of Aruba. He was quoted, “Let Joran be the first example of a Dutchman that is not wanted in Aruba”, said the minister, who also knows that judicially, it’s going to be difficult to really deny him admission to the country. “I simply do not want him here.”

Although it is known Joran has traveled back to Aruba on occasion, maybe this statute will banish his ass forever so he may continue to seep into the sick, dark world of Thailand that he seems to love so much.

WILLEMSTAD — When the Statute Law passenger travel becomes effective, a Dutchman / Dutch woman (read everyone with a Dutch passport), can be deported from another part of the Kingdom, and prohibited from ever returning to that overseas territory. This appears from the draft-version of the Statute Law passenger travel.

“A ban on admission and residence can be ordered for reasons of public order or public safety to a Dutchman / Dutch woman who have not been a resident in a country or public body for a period of ten years.

If a Dutchman / Dutch woman has been a resident for more than ten continuous years in a country, then a ban on admission and residence can only be ordered for compelling reasons of public safety”, according to the enactment.

“A Dutchman / Dutch woman, who have been issued a prohibition for admission and residence, cannot obtain or retain a lawful residence in the territory of the country that issued the prohibition. In case he/she has already obtained admission to or residence in that country, this prohibition will be enforced by means of deportation to another country or public body within the Kingdom.”

The Statute Law passenger travel further determines that a Dutchman / Dutch woman has the right to reside in a country or pubic body for a period longer than three months if they have employment or intend to look for employment. (We all know what Joran's "employment" is...I would say that is not "applicable" or legal employment. These individuals should be absolutely shunned by all Arubans in order to redeem themselves and protect their future.)

A Dutchman / Dutch woman may also reside in that country for other purposes. In that case, the Dutchman / Dutch woman must have a medical insurance for him-/herself and his/her family members and his/her family may not form any unreasonable burden for the social security system of the country or public body where they have taken up residence. This latter condition is laid down in consideration of the limited financial resources of the island for the protection of their social security system. Therefore, this condition does not apply for residence in the European part of the Netherlands.

The prohibition on admission could for that matter also be (temporarily) removed by the minister who had issued such. This is possible ‘if the personal conduct of the relevant Dutchman / Dutch woman no longer forms an existent, actual, and serious threat for a vital importance of the society’. (Is Aruba finally getting their act together and no longer in denial in preventing these low-lives that cause irreparable harm to reside on their "one happy island"?)

In any case, the minister will determine this if the prohibition on admission or residence was not followed by deportation of the relevant Dutchman / Dutch woman within two years after the announcement thereof, according to the enactment.

The minister may also temporarily remove the prohibition on admission or residence in exceptional and urgent cases. Conditions will then be deployed regarding the place of entry and the duration of the residence. In that case, there must be ‘conclusive reasons of humanitarian nature’ or it must be ‘in the interest of the country or the mutual country’s relations’.

The Dutch minister of Justice, Ernst Hirsch Ballin (CDA) explained to the Upper Chamber three months ago, that the Statute Law passenger travel is not a result of the agreements of 2006, ‘but it is something that should be brought to one’s attention with the realization of the current cabinet’. It was also laid down in the coalition agreement, that such a Statute Law passenger travel should be constituted.

Hirsch Ballin: “It was brought to one’s attention – that the connection was explicitly made with the realization of the cabinet – that something similar had to be realized at the moment that the Netherlands Antilles will be split up into three countries.

The existing complication in the passenger travel of the Dutch people between the countries of the Kingdom would otherwise multiply. From an international point of view, it is actually very peculiar that forms need to be filled in when Dutch people move in one direction within the Kingdom, and strongly resembles that, which is required for the application of a visa upon visiting a foreign country where relations are limited. This is certainly peculiar as we have the communal citizenship.”

‘Wild-west stories’

The minister of Justice also denied that the Statute Law passenger travel would be some kind of deportation regulation in another version. “Wild-west stories have been circulating in the West, as if this would be some new version of a submitted enactment by a former minister for Alien Affairs and Integration, directed at the deportation of some Dutch youngsters from this part of the Kingdom (who you be referring to Joran?).

These are truly wild-west stories. (Again contradicting themselves...continuous denial of admitting the REAL issue.)

The purpose of the proposed Statute Law will be entirely different from that of the withdrawn enactment. It is good to clearly express this to all parts of the Kingdom, so that there is no confusion whatsoever on that withdrawn enactment, that this regulation is based on article 3 of the Statute for the Kingdom of the Netherlands, as this after all leads to a Kingdoms Affair, the status of the citizenship, therefore the Dutch nationality, and certain aspects of the passenger travel of Dutch people as well as of foreigners.”

How obvious is it that the Dutch don't want to be associated with the residents of Aruba, Antilleans and Curacao citizens, yet they feel free to infiltrate purely for illegal and corruption purposes. The ultimate "fall guys" are Aruba, et al.

One-way traffic

The political party Pueblo Soberano calls the Statute Law passenger travel ‘apartheid’ – ‘the sixth Statute Law’ in the framework of the political reformations. According to Pueblo Soberano, “the presumed free passenger travel is a one-way traffic”. “The enactment introduces a number of conditions for Arubans, Antilleans, and Curaçao citizens, and what is called the BES-islands (Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba), to prevent our people from going to the Netherlands. The party is convinced that this enactment was deliberately suppressed until after the referendum. “The Netherlands, PAR, PNP, and FOL want to prevent our people from going to the Netherlands but have our islands overrun with their people”.

Sounds like the Arubans don't want the pompous Dutch living in Aruba. Maybe they've finally quit drinking the kool-aid, and realized that Aruba looks bad BECAUSE of those certain Dutch nationals who are obviously complicit in a 4 1/2 year old conspiracy and coverup that have irreversibly tainted their island.

Their country has suffered due to a Dutchman (I use the word "man" extremely loosely) like Joran, including his well-connected "judge" father, his political friends, the dutch police commissioners, the dutch government, and the dutch judges involved in dismissing any wrong-doing in the unsolved murder of Natalee Holloway that has garnered such world wide attention for over four years.

They know Natalee's story and legacy will not go away, and they've finally realized how powerful the "little people" can be.

HANS MOS GETS THE BOOT

ORANJESTAD — Hans Mos resigns his position as Chief Public Prosecutor. As a result of the statements in the leaked-out VNO-report, Justice-minister Rudy Croes has supposedly ordered him and also prosecutor Kasper van der Schaft to leave.


This appeared in this morning’s daily newspaper Trouw. It’s not clear what the leak-out exactly has to do with the dismissal. Based on their contract, both Mos and Van der Schaft had still another year in office. In a conversation with the Wereldomroep, minister Plenipotentiary in the Netherlands, Frido Croes denies the fact that the early departure of Mos has something to do with the leaked-out VNO-report. He says that Van der Schaft leaves because ‘his contract has run out’.


Public Prosecution's Office (OM)-spokesperson Ann Angela has only confirmed yesterday that Mos leaves in the summer. According to an official statement of the OM, Harm Brouwer, chairman of the Dutch College of procurators general and with that the highest boss of the OM in the Netherlands, Mos was offered two positions with the OM in the Netherlands last Monday. Mos will decide on one of these positions before this coming March 1st.

THE NETHERLANDS OFFICIALLY "WASHES HANDS" OF HOLLOWAY CASE

The clear message from the Netherlands

ORANJESTAD/DEN HAAG – The Netherlands has ‘reasonably’ done everything a country can do to solve the case of the disappeared American teenager Natalee Holloway, says state secretary Ank Bijleveld-Schouten (Kingdom Relations, CDA) in a letter to the Lower House that have asked for more information. Holloway disappeared in May of 2005 and the case is still not solved.


There are currently two investigations going in the disappearance case: the criminal investigation into the disappearance of the teenager and an investigation by the national detective into the allegations of Justice-minister Rudy Croes in the early stages of the criminal investigation.


It was in December of last year that Croes accused the former chief of police Jan van der Straaten of having blown the investigation in the first ten days. He did this in consideration of his friendship with Paul van der Sloot, the father of Joran van der Sloot, who is still the prime suspect.


The Public Prosecutor doesn’t give any details during this investigation, writes Bijleveld to the Lower House. Bijleveld explains all ‘the efforts’ the Netherlands had done in the Holloway-case until now. Upon request of Aruba, Dutch militaries have assisted with the search in the early stages. Dutch sniffer dogs and F-16’s with special camera were also put in. Aruba has again requested the assistance of the Netherlands in September of 2006 and Dutch experts have tested the investigation in the Netherlands. This ‘revision’ provided sufficient clues to continue the investigation in Aruba. The Dutch team together with their Aruban colleagues performed in 2007 and 2008 a continued investigation into the still open scenarios. Bijleveld says that ‘all necessary means’ were put in, but have not led to solving the case. The Aruban police are still investigating the case at this moment.

NEW INVESTIGATION: CROES "PREPARATIONS ARE ALREADY IN PLACE"

ORANJESTAD — Justice-minister Rudy Croes wants a thorough investigation into the first days after the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in 2005.


There will be an independent investigation into this next year, confirms Croes this morning. “The preparations are already in place. A few things have already taken place. Croes refers to the many reactions he received, after he accused the former investigation-leader and chief of police Jan van der Straten last week of favouritism in the early stages of the investigation into the disappeared American teenager.


In a conversation with the American FoxNews, the Dutch House-member Hero Brinkman of the extreme right party PVV, called Aruba ‘corrupt as hell’. Also many other media in the US brought Croes’ the statements up for discussion, because ‘he just now brought it up’.


PVV pressed in vain to have the Dutch detectives for the Kingdom investigate the accusations. PVV didn’t get any support for this in the Lower House. The Dutch state secretary of Kingdom Relations, Ank Bijleveld did say yesterday the Minister Croes must start an investigation immediately to verify whether van der Straten obstructed the investigation into the disappearance in Aruba. Bijleveld indicated that she cannot force Croes to start an investigation, but it is strange to her that after so many years, the minister has just now come with the accusations. Bijleveld assumes that the accusations do not tally.


If necessary, the Netherland is willing to help, says Bijleveld.


Minister Croes doesn’t want the Netherlands to interfere and has not started the investigation because of the Netherlands. “I don’t need instructions from her.”


Croes has also criticized the Dutch government’s part in the case. He says that Aruba had to keep silent about the fact that Joran was a Dutchman. “He had to appear as an Aruban as much as possible. A Dutch minister had personally requested that and I won’t say who this minister is.”

WHY DOES IT MATTER IF JORAN IS CONSIDERED A DUTCHMAN?

HE IS DUTCH! IS THIS ANOTHER "STALLING TACTIC"

Bijleveld said not recognizing herself in this criticism. She says that the Netherlands has given her support in all sorts of ways to the investigation that was carried out under leadership of Justice in Aruba.

DUTCH OFFICIAL HERO BRINKMAN ON ARUBA: "THEY ARE CORRUPT AS HELL"

VAN SUSTEREN: Sir, let me just start first with the big question. What do you think, as a Dutch member of parliament, about Aruba?

BRINKMAN: They are corrupt as hell.

VAN SUSTEREN: So...

BRINKMAN: That's what I say about Aruba.

VAN SUSTEREN: What will you do about it, or is there anything you can do about it?

BRINKMAN: I want a full investigation about what happened with Ms. Holloway over there. It is really a disgrace that the minister of justice, Mr. Croes, told everybody, Mr. van der Straaten and the police chief are very good friends, and the investigation over there with the first ten days of the investigation went wrong because of the friendship. So I am very disappointed about that.

VAN SUSTEREN: Sir, prior to becoming a member of the Dutch parliament you had a long history as being a police officer. When you say that Aruba is, quote, "corrupt as hell," those are your words, what is it that tells you that? Why do you say they're corrupt as hell?

BRINKMAN: Because there is a lot of corruption which is going on. It is also investigated over there. Politicians and police officers have been conflicted, but they still are doing their jobs. So that is very strange.

We all know that the Dutch countrymen, the Dutch know that there is a lot of corruption over there, and they don't want to do anything about it.

VAN SUSTEREN: Why doesn't the Dutch government want to do anything about the corruption in Aruba?

BRINKMAN: I think because it is a political matter. We are now in discussions about another way to look at those islands formally.

And all the political parties within the house of parliament has said for years that they want to do it like this. Not our party. We are the only party that does not want to go that way, but the other ones did. And that's why they don't want to talk about corruption.

All the politicians in the Dutch parliament know that there is a lot of corruption. But on Aruba, they don't want to talk about it. And that's why I say it is a political matter.

VAN SUSTEREN: What do you make of the fact that the prosecutor, though, is not from Aruba. The prosecutor is a Dutch person.

BRINKMAN: He is a Dutch person, but he is very long within the Aruban society. And what Aruban politicians do, they drag you within their corrupt society. That's what they do.

And even if there are Dutch politicians, competent guys, it does not matter. If they are there long to stay, they will be dragged into that corrupt system.

VAN SUSTEREN: What did the police have to gain by not investigating this case? We have brought information to them-actually, we haven't brought it to them. We have information and we can't seem to get them to look at it. But what is in for the police not to look at what we have?

BRINKMAN: I don't know. And that's what I want to investigate, and that is why I asked the minister here in Holland to investigate that from out of the Dutch government.

But I think that because the police chief of Aruba may have some involvement in this case. And if that is true, then of course the political persons who are responsible for this do not want to investigate that, because otherwise they get chopped off their head.

VAN SUSTEREN: So what can we do here in America to try to push the investigation? Because all we want is a full and complete investigation. And what can you do from Holland to push for a full and fair investigation?

BRINKMAN: First, I want to thank all of the Americans who e-mailed me and wrote to me all the things they knew and all the encouragement. I thank them very much. I've read everything. I did not answer everything. I will still try to do that, but I didn't.

But, please, if you know anything, e-mail to me, write me. I will try to encourage the Dutch parliament to fully investigate this matter, because the truth has to come out for all of us, for the Americans, for Aruba, and also for the Dutch parliament.

VAN SUSTEREN: You said that Aruba is corrupt as hell. Do you have any particular names of people that should have the bulls eye on their back, people we should look at to try to at least take a look at them?

BRINKMAN: There are a lot of people. I have made a full investigation this year and filed a full reporting in the parliament early this year from hundreds of different cases of corruption. Nobody in the parliament wanted to talk about that. It is a disgrace.

Just one example--Minister Croes says that he knows that the Van der Straaten, the police chief of Aruba, and Paul van der Sloot, the father of Joran, were very, very good friends. And those two investigated the matter in the early days of the case, and they did this in a very slow manner.

If Croes does say this, and this is true, then he already knew that for more than three years. This is truly a disgrace. Why didn't he tell that before? That's why I think it's fully corruption.

JAN VAN DER STRATTEN COMPLICIT IN HOLLOWAY COVER UP

"I cannot do this to my friend Paul"

Dutch police commissioner Jan van der Straten actively frustrated investigations on the island of Aruba into the disappearance of US teenager Natalee Holloway.


Aruba's Justice Minister Rudy Croes confirmed on Thursday that Van der Straten delayed the start of investigations in order to protect his friend, Paulus van der Sloot, the father of Joran who is the main suspect in the case. Paulus was working for the Justice Ministry at the time.


Minister Croes made his public statement about the commissioner's dallying following critical remarks by Van der Straten about Aruba's police. Shortly after Natalee's disappearance in 2005, the Dutch police commissioner was overheard saying "I cannot do this to my friend Paul".

The Justice Minister says there were remarkably frequent phone conversations between Jan van der Straten and Paul van der Sloot in the first days after the American teenager went missing.

In more detailed criticism, Minister Croes accuses Commissioner Van der Straten of putting a "second rate police team" on the Holloway case. The team consisted of part-time policemen who are hired in to help the regular force during events like carnivals.


The Dutch government is also blamed by Minister Croes for giving insufficient moral support to the Aruban authorities:

"They stand by while Aruba's name is being dragged through the mud. We were asked in 2005 to hide the fact that Joran is a Dutchman. A Dutch minister - I won't say who - personally asked us to present Joran as an Aruban."

Justice Minister Rudy Croes is known for his critical attitude towards the Dutch, Aruba's former coloniser. He said in 2007 that he was in favour of breaking off Aruba's relations with the Netherlands. The statement caused an uproar, coming as it did while negotiations with the Netherlands were going on.


A new political division of the Kingdom of the Netherlands will come into force on 15 December 2010. Aruba will remain a separate country within the Kingdom.

JAN VAN DER STRATEN HINDERED HOLLOWAY INVESTIGATION

Dutchman Jan van der Straten, who was police commissioner on the Caribbean island of Aruba when US teenager Natalee Holloway disappeared, seriously hindered the investigation in the first few days, Aruban justice minister Rudy Croes is quoted as saying by news agency ANP.


ANP says Croes claims Van der Straten was slow to take action in order to help his friend Paul van der Sloot protect his son Joran, who was suspected of being involved in the disappearance. Such rumours have circulated on the island for some time, ANP says.


According to ANP, Croes made the statement following criticism of the Aruban police force made by Van der Straten earlier this week. Questioning Croes said that Joran and two other suspects were only taken in for questioning 10 days after Holloway went missing ‘when the first days are crucial in a disappearance’.

And he claims he heard Van der Straten say
‘I cannot do that to my friend Paul’.

Croes also claims there were a lot of telephone conversations between Van der Sloot senior and Van der Straten and that a ‘second class’ police team was put on the investigation. ‘It was the team used during the carnival celebrations,’ ANP reports him as saying.


In addition, Croes accuses the Dutch government of failing to provide any moral support to Aruba. He says the Aruban authorities were pressured to present Joran van der Sloot as an Aruban, not a Dutch national. ANP does not say when and where Croes made the comments, or if it had picked them up from another source.

HOW COULD HE NOT HAVE KNOWN?

This is either a blatant lie by Rudy Croes, or just proof that the government of Aruba doesn't know their asses from a hole in the wall. This investigation was already a complete disaster; now it is evident that the "powers that be" don't have their acts together and are publicly addressing their communication problems and differences.

ORANJESTAD – Justice-minister Rudy Croes (MEP) says that he should have been informed earlier of the detention of the three suspects in the Holloway-case. “Now that everything is back on the table, the reputation of Aruba is harmed again internationally.”


The case could have been dealt with more carefully if he was informed on time, suggested the minister. “Was it well-considered to make the arrests? If there were plenty of evident, they would not have been released.” He considers the contact between him and the Public Prosecutor (OM) about the recent developments in the Holloway-case an abnormal working situation. “As a matter of fact, I am ultimately responsible for this matter; the OM falls under my policy. Doesn’t that mean that I should have been informed in advance? There is no need for me to do anything any longer and we must save what can be saved. Let’s drop the case as soon as possible.”


According to chief district attorney Hans Mos, the justice-minister, who as opposed to Parliament is politically responsible for the actions of the OM, was one of the first persons that were informed after the arrests. “He was immediately informed together with the prime minister. Our scheme clearly mentions that.” He says that it is however unusual to inform the minister in advance of an arrest. “That only happened in very special cases that affect the public order and safety of a country, like with terrorist crimes. In individual criminal cases like this one, the OM makes decisions and the minister must not work against it.


Some people are more worried about the reputation of the country than they are about solving criminal cases. These seem to be subordinated to economic interests; you can then do away with the police and justice.” Mos emphasized that the government and the justice-minister could have always contacted him about the case. “But the minister has not once asked for an explanation on the arrests. I would have done this with pleasure.” Besides, the OM doesn’t want to continue dragging the case and has decided to set the deadline on December 31 of this year.


The prosecution is currently thinking over continuing or dismissing the case. That all three suspects appealed to their right to remain silent after their arrest was an obstacle for justice. That was also the reason why the judge has decided to release them from custody, because it didn’t serve any purpose.

The Netherlands: 'Governmental
power of Aruba unsatisfactory'

ORANJESTAD – The Netherlands wants a dialogue with Aruba about the differences in opinion on the desired autonomy and the governmental power of the island.


The Netherlands has noticed that 'regularly there are indications of governmental incidents' and the governmental power qualifies as unsatisfactory. Same arrangements on good governance must therefore be made with Aruba as with the Antillean islands on their way to a new political structure. This is stated in Chapter IV Kingdom Relations of the Dutch 2008 budget presented to the Dutch Parliament today. Aruban ministers have often declared themselves openly in favour of independence.


Justice-minister Rudy Croes (MEP) said that he is ashamed of his Dutch passport and that he prefers an Aruban one. Also Prime Minister Nelson Oduber had the word independence in his mouth recently, when the Plant NV deal failed. He even forbid his civil servants to take part in the negotiations regarding the new political structure of the Antilles.


In the meantime, the Aruban government seems to be seeking rapprochement again. The governor said last week during the opening of the new parliamentary session that the government strives for strengthening the ties with the partners within the Kingdom.


The Netherlands now wants a dialogue with Aruba to improve the island's government and tie this into conversations on political adjustment and conversations on the cooperation program that comes to an end in 2009.


However, Aruba would like the Netherlands to continue participating in the Fondo Desaroyo Aruba (FDA). But up till now, the Netherlands has been varying her expressions on this. There is a political deliberation on the continuation of the development relation in the fall of 2007.

The maintenance of law and order program is
part of this and will be included in the discussion.

Important point of interest is the immigration policy, according to the Netherlands. The support from the Netherlands for the public finances will continue. The dept-quote is anticipated to increase with one percent this year to 47.5 percent of the gross domestic product (BBP). The real growth in relation to the BBP is estimated on 1.5 to 2 percent. The Netherlands bases herself on the figures of the Central Bank of Aruba.


"As part of promoting the autonomy of the Kingdom partners, it is of great importance that the countries are not too dependent of third parties financially. This is expressed in a reduction of the debt-quote of both countries." The Netherlands is also of the opinion that thanks to a favourable economic development (Hello? Someone is in serious denial about that...unless they are talking about the money laundering, drug and sex trafficking...), the Aruban government can have the budget deficit under control with some specific measures.


As part of the political renewals, the Solidarity fund between the islands of the Neth.Antilles and Aruba will be canceled out. This is a financial benefit of 4 million euro for Aruba that can be put in the FDA.

CONFESSIONS OF A KILLER

THE CONFESSION JUNE 10, 2005

Following what can only be considered a cover up by Aruban officals, Internet bloggers with an obvious agenda to shield the truth in the Natalee Holloway case refer to the confession of June 10, 2005 as an unfounded rumor. However, the Aruban Justice Ministery spokesperson and the Deputy Police Commissioner, respectively, released statements to Fox News and the Associated Press.

These statements confirmed that Natalee Holloway was dead, authorities knew the location of her body and Natalee's family was being taken to her remains. These official statements were based on an admission given by one of the suspects - one of the suspects who Gerold Dompig refused to identify.


1. CONFIRMED DEAD - LOCATION OF BODY IS KNOWN BY AUTHORITIES


On June 10, 2005, a spokesperson for the Aruban Justice Minister made a statement to Fox News that Natalee Holloway was confirmed dead and that authorities knew the location of her body. Fox News confirmed this statement prior to its public release. This statement was later retracted by the Justice Minister but it is logical to assume that the official Aruban spokesperson did not pull the contents of the statement made to Fox News out thin air.

2. SOMETHING BAD HAPPENED!

Members of Natalee Holloway's frantic family were were directed to the location where Natalee Holloways remains were to be found. Gerold Dompig's official position within the investigation would imply that he had a foundational knowledge to derived from when he stated to the Associated Pressing that one of the suspects admitted that "something bad happened".

3. REFUSES TO IDENTIFY SUSPECT WHO MADE ADMISSION


The Deputy Police Commissioner, Gerold Dompig, refused to identify to the Associated Press which of the suspects made the admission that "something bad happened" to Natalee Holloway. However, prosecutors acknowledged that the investigation was at a crucial point.

He refused to identify which of the three young men who took Holloway to a northern beach the night she went missing made the statement.

4. AN ANGUISHED FAMILY'S NIGHT IN HELL


On June 10, 2005, the FBI informed Natalee' Holloways mother of the events taking place which implied that her dauther was deceased. Close relatives were notified. The grieving process had begun. It can be assumed that the FBI would not have contributed to Natalee's family ongoing nightmare by sharing information that had not been confirmed by Aruban authorities.

She called her mother and told her that. And our family was—was—began the grieving process. You know, we were told the report would come out the next day. Later that night, we saw the reports that confessions had been made, that something bad had happened. Shortly thereafter, it was retracted. The next morning, there was a report that said Natalee was confirmed dead. And these reports came from the deputy commissioner. They came from the spokesperson from the Ministry of Justice. And then, all of a sudden, these statements and these confessions just disappeared.


SCARBOROUGH: And wait a second. I mean, these confessions were so rock solid that you actually had the FBI coming to you, coming to your family, Natalee's family, saying, we are sorry to tell you this, but there has been a confession. One of these boys has confessed, and Natalee is no longer alive. How do you pull something like that back off the table? Have you had or has your sister had or has anybody in the family had any explanation from Aruban officials whatever happened to this confession, where they buried it?


REYNOLDS: I am not aware of any follow-up information. You know, this seemed to disappear from sight, these confessions did. At the time, we thought that because the investigation is kept secret, we thought it was ongoing, and maybe they just didn't want to release it officially at that time. But, as we see that the appeals, the hearings are showing there's no evidence, but yet we have these confessions, it doesn't make any sense. It's as if they are being hidden or taken away.


SCARBOROUGH: You know, you said—talked about June the 10th. That's when you all were told that the confession had been made, and you said that the family actually started a grieving process. What did the family do?


REYNOLDS: You know, grieving is—it's a difficult process. We were all notified. We exchanged phone calls, making sure everyone in the family was notified. I even had to tell my children, very upsetting to them, very upsetting to all of us.


SCARBOROUGH: Wait, Paul. Are you telling me, back on June the 10th, you told your children, based on the confession of one of these—these punks that took Natalee away from the bar, that Natalee was dead? This was over a month ago. You had to break it to your family, the entire family, Natalee's entire family, because of the confessions, knew that she was dead, and yet here we are over a month later, and they are still claiming they don't have enough evidence to nail these guys?


REYNOLDS: That's absolutely correct. You know, the FBI had informed my sister based on the initial interrogations that that was their belief. That information was given to our family. The Minister of Justice confirmed that Natalee Holloway is dead, and police at this hour are taking her parents to the location where investigators found her body. Earlier in the day the Justice Minister flatly denied these reports, but now says it was not an issue of the facts of the case being wrong, but merely an issue of protocol. He says the police source initially talking to the AP had not conferred with his higher ups before, but it appears that the facts were correct all along.

This Aruban newspaper and its’ editor choose to stand up for their fellow Aruban citizens, along with American tourists who come to their island and get victimized – again and again. By pointing out their government's wide-spread corruption, the citizens of Aruba are finally being given an avenue to change their own fate. El Diario is now being thrown to the wolves by Prime Minister Nelson Oduber. El Diario tossed down the gauntlet of truth at the current government’s feet (MEP) and their response? ORANJESTAD – In an open letter, staff and management of the morning paper Diario have asked the Queen’s attention for the commercial boycott called by the MEP and her leader, Prime Minister Nelson Oduber. MEP demanded the owner and also director and chief editor Jossy Mansur to publicly apologize to MEP and premier Oduber for all the articles he has published with the intention to damage the reputation of the government and MEP. Mansur has till last Monday to do this, otherwise, the MEP will announce a boycott against Diario. Since Mansur ignored MEP’s ultimatum, the party decided on a total boycott of the newspaper. No information must be given to Diario. MEP-member had to cancel their subscription as per immediate.. They are also not allowed to buy the paper separately. They cannot place ads in the Diario.

With all the communication providers in his pocket, Nelson Oduber made this announcement the night Joran Van der Sloot made a confession in the Natalee Holloway case. Immediately after this hint from Oduber, the confession was being touted as a misinformation campaign by the MEP's Minister of Justice, Rudy Croes.

Prime Minister Nelson Oduber went on (Aruban) national radio Friday night to say if something happened to Holloway, it would hurt the island of 97,000, which depends on tourism and has a reputation as one of the safest spots in the Caribbean.

UTC ORANJESTAD -At the weekly Government press conference Prime Minister Oduber officially presented a committee that was just appointed and with the task to minimize the effect of all the negative and incorrect information that is being disseminated on Aruba in connection with the disappearance of the American student Natalee Holloway.


“The committee has been working for some time behind the screens without too much publicity, and function on behalf of the people of Aruba in order to minimize the impact of the negative news that is being sent out” The basic mission of the committee is to bring correct information and counteract all publications that are not based on the truth and to explain the function of our judicial institutions and how they operate.

Crimes not Punished – It’s not just the tourists at risk

The truth can hurt when it’s exposed without circumlocution! What could have led the mediocrity of the MEP party to lose their heads in such an ugly manner? Could it be the bribery of 1 million guilders? The day I said that Nel Oduber’s government is anti American too, I came with the proofs to demonstrate it, but I left out a couple very painful for Nel, but since he again lost control over his tongue, here are more proofs: Natalee Holloway (American) and the American girl that his son mistreated and then wanted to rape in his own home!

What did Nel’s government do in the case of Natalee?

* Hide their heads in a hole like ostriches so as not to see the truth of what was happening,

* try to fire Jan and Karin because they did not belong to the group of political yes-men of his government;

* put the interest for American tourism money above the value of a human life;

* try to throw the blame on the family of the girl that disappeared, instead of going all-out against the three suspects who are responsible for the bad name Aruba got in other countries, and rightly so because those in power did not lift one finger to defend the victim, but went all out behind the curtain to make the family responsible for the negative image Aruba got, and not against the three suspects in whose company the girl disappeared. She too is an American!

Then his unbelievably stupid anti-American statements; the case of his own son who tried to rape an American girl in his own home! Now there is another American arrested because he pulled a gun against a person that attacked his wife, then committed destruction against her property. A government that has characterized itself as an Anti-American one with unquestionable concrete proofs.

The MEP party is a party of delinquents and promotes delinquency

* a Minister (Ramon Lee) who raped a woman, was accused by her to the Police, and was never even questioned!

* Another Minister (Rudy Croes) who brought in young girls from Santo Domingo and wanted to force them into prostitution with him and his friends;

* another Minister (Nilo Swaen) who was accused by his own department head of manipulating figures to make the government look good;

* another Minister (Rudy Croes again) whose departments sold permits to foreigners, and under whom driver's licenses were also being sold;

* another Minister (the Prime Minister Nelson Oduber) who is a habitual liar and will stop at nothing to carry out his Chavez-inclined plans for Aruba;

* members of Parliament of the MEP party who were caught by the police in drunken driving (Junior Arends) and hit and run (Robert Maduro);

And so much more delinquency and violations of our laws it would take an encyclopedia to hold them! They are a group of the most corrupt public figures ever to participate in Aruban politics. Just go over the Holloway case, and now the Michael Saladin case, and you immediately know the anti-American sentiments of those now in power in Aruba.

Ask the FBI to interrogate Richard Lacle, who will soon be serving a prison sentence in Florida, to find out who is behind this group that offered a big bribe to Nelson Odbuer's party and was never denounced to the police or the prosecutors in Aruba. My attention was brought to this case by the revelation of a letter containing a bribery of 1 million guilders to Nelson Oduber and his party.

Perhaps Oduber should be reminded of his own words to Fox news from June 10, 2005: "We work together, we care for people ... Nobody stands above the law."

When the message a corrupt government is controlling gets dashed by the truth, provided by an honest voice striving for an Aruban government of integrity and honor, what is your next move?

To silence that voice. To silence that one method of communication that the corrupted government has no control over.

There is only so much dictatorial behavior an honorable society will tolerate - hopefully the door opened by El Diario will be utilized by the Aruban citizens in demanding transparency, honesty, and objectivity within their government.

Truth and Justice are not just the American way - they are the ways of true humanity. The truth may hide at times, it may get distorted, but it will never be silenced.

Natalee and her family deserve justice, and we will not let up until they have it!
