NEW WITNESSES AND SMOKE SCREENS?

From Rita Cosby Live & Direct:

Conflicting Statements?

HOLLOWAY: Well, I think there was some early confusion on what some of the Mountain Brook kids reported and what they said. I did speak with one individual. And he said that they all came out of the establishment, and they were all talking, and everybody appeared to be OK. And then suddenly they saw Natalee look around as if she was looking for someone and walked back into the establishment and was back in there approximately 15 minutes. And then, when she came out, Deepak had her by the arm, leading her out of the bar.

COSBY: And that was the last thing that they saw?

HOLLOWAY: Well, that was one of the individuals' witness statement was, was that Deepak walked her out. Some of the others indicated that she walked out with Joran. So I think that‘s a matter of clearing that issue up.

The Sand Dunes?! Another Smoke Screen?

COSBY: And, Steve, of course, everyone—we‘ve been talking about the sand dunes. Any movement in what‘s happening in the sand dunes? Because there was so much focus that another—we were hearing somebody close to Joran, a friend, (Are you kidding me? We are supposed to believe a friend of Joran's? All his other friends are scummy shady characters who have lied for him in the past, present and I'm sure future. However, unless this 'friend' is like Steve Cohen--another bad liar who slipped up...) insinuated something to point them back towards that area. Have you heard if there‘s any progress, any movement there?

COHEN: Yes. You know, the original information there is part of there-look at the investigation, as well as new witnesses that have come forward. So the investigators felt that they should begin to dig in the area by the sand dunes. That went on for a few days. It has now ceased for a moment, as they begin to sift through what they‘ve got, figure out where they are. I also understand that they are awaiting something special dogs who also can go out and help them in the search. (Wasn't this all done before? This makes no sense...)

This Letter was posted ON GretaWire that I recieve daily

I just returned from Aruba. I know I should not go, but I have a timeshare and I’m not giving it up. Aruba is the safest island in the Caribbean. I have been to all of them.
Interesting news — I spoke with several taxi drivers and several local people I have come to know through the years (from the island) about the case-the majority of them think the Van der Sloots are very involved and the father is the biggest suspect of them all! Most thought he has money and “power” and could cover this all up for his son and friends. Unfortunately it seems to be true.
The island people feel very embarrassed by their government actions-saying money does not buy the truth. But covers it.
I hope Beth and her family get closure on this I too have a son and daughter of the same age and it must be agonizing, my prayers are with her.
In closing though I would like to say the majority of Arubans feel very bad for Beth and her family — they want this resolved.

I very rarely agree with posters here, but this time you are right. The "sand dunes" story is a smokesscreen. This area has been searched over and over again. Even Tim Miller had his dogs there for a whole day. Miller was quoted as saying "If my dogs and my equipment didn't find her there, she's not in those sand dunes". I think he's correct. LE here thinks it makes them look good to be digging areas up, making it look like they actually care about finding Natalee. WhatMr Cohen didn't say is that Joran and Deepak's friends are the ones that call in fake bizarre tips to make the police look stupid and take attention away from them. These kids average 75 calls a week!

"All his other friends are scummy shady characters who have lied for him in the past, present and I'm sure future."

And you know all of them, do you Michelle? What a ridiculous statement to make!

I don't have to know Joran's friends to make that statement. We all know what kind of people he chose to hang out with and associate himself with.

In addition, we ALL KNOW Joran's friends lied for him from DAY ONE. How does that make my statement ridiculous?

It's called a PATTERN.

Like mama Kalpoe said, " They lie, Adults lie, We ALL Lie".

It's a typical pattern for Aruba obviously.

Well this is something to watch really Closely, If you remember a month or so back, They came out and said.. Well A suspect can lie, But a witness CAN NOT Lie.. so we will see.. watch close hopefully if this person lied we will have another arrest

Michelle, do you know any of these people personally? Or are you just going by what you are being told on tv and by people on the internet (blogs, message boards, etc.)?

If you do know any of them personally, I admit, the statement wasn't ridiculous. If you don't then I think it wasn't just ridiculous, but downright stupid!

Michelle,
YOUR PATTERN is based on half truths, non-truths that have become truths to you based on hearing them over and over again, and your ideas of what is right and wrong.
Problem is, you are not always right. Sarcastic (and not funny) yes - always right - no.
I knew I could count on you to determine that all his friends are scum because YOU think he is.
You subscribe to this theory - A black man robbed my house = all black men are robbers.
See, you can't lump everyone in a group, especially when you personally know NONE OF THEM!

Don't forget Sue...they don't care what the rules/laws are. They will lie NO MATTER WHAT.

Yes I know Michelle, That why all Of us and the Media and John Kelly
Must watch close, to call their asses to the carpet

Aruba 'close to solving' case

Natalee Holloway was last seen on May 30, 2005
Aruban authorities believe they are close to making a breakthrough in the case of missing American teenager Natalee Holloway.
Spokesman for the Aruban government, former CBS journalist Steve Cohen, is predicting a closure to the case in the next six months.

He says investigators are focusing on proving the case against three young men who had been held as suspects, and who are known to have interacted with the US student.

Mr Cohen expects one or all three suspects - Dutch national Joran van der Sloot and Surinamese brothers Deepak and Satish Kalpoe - to be charged for rape and murder.

Officials have apparently decide to focus their investigations more closely on the three.

Case to be presented soon

"we're pretty much at the end of the investigation of that scenario all the pieces of that jig-saw puzzle are now infront of us, and we are beginning to see a picture now, that was not a picture that we saw three of four months ago," Mr Cohen told BBC Caribbean.

He says he's optimistic that they'll be able to wrap up their current probe and be able to present a case to the judge "in the next few weeks or a few months".

Aruba police have been searching sand dunes on the northwest coast of the island for Natalee Holloway.

More than fifty police officers began searching a one square mile area on Monday.

The search was suspended Tuesday, but the authorities say they might resume on Thursday.

Let see Steve Back Peddle out of this statement

Dear StickyPete:

Thank you for your observation that Michelle is not always right. I am sure that this news will be as shocking to her as it is to all of us here, but I find that there probably is something to be said for this argument.

Of course, a blog is a place devoted to the _expression of opinions ... but anyways, I am sure that this revelation of yours is of great significance. Why, just the other day the Hon. Mrskrass took me to task for a grammatical fault, and I think she had a valid argument.

The jury is still out on what punishment is proper for Michelle for occasionally being wrong. (Notice: you didn't prove that she WAS wrong, but you said she isn't always right. The odds are on your side in this matter.)

How unlike the rest of us.

The 2006 has much to do with it. GOP are doing the house cleaning. Aruba is such a pain in their butt for so long. It is the gigantic corruption of Aruba that is haunting many members of the Congress. Many GOP party goers have stakes in the misfortunes of Aruba, their hotel/casinos holdings, and their timeshare offshore tax writeoffs. All are under the suspicions from the IRS. IRS says the tax dishonesty is a very serious matter, possibly criminal. Aruba is really dirty. No one wants to touch it with a 20 ft long pole. It's just going to kill you more like a roadside bomb in Iraq.
