ARUBA TRUTH--CIVIL SUIT IS NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY
The filing of a civil suit by the Holloway-Twitty family against Joran and Paulus van der Sloot does not alter the case of the prosecution in Aruba. In fact, the suit has no new information to add to the investigation.
The suit’s allegations are a mix of known events, facts, and anecdotes (Anecdote? The definition is "A short account of an interesting or humorous incident". Is this humorous for Aruba, or is that just another one of their misinterpretations of the English language?) that are unsubstantiated. And there is no reference to witnesses or corroboration for most of the charges. (What about the 5 new witnesses that Dompig claimed last week?) Still, the standards of proof in a civil case are less than in a criminal proceeding.
The suit seeks to establish New York as the city of jurisdiction and compel Paulus and Joran to testify in the case, if a New York judge agrees to the jurisdictional claim. New York attorneys like Mickey Sherman, an experienced litigator in those courts, believes it is unlikely jurisdiction will be granted, or that if granted the case will be accepted.
In any case, a civil case cannot compel the van der Sloots to return to New York to appear. Nor is it clear that if the case is accepted, and a judgment imposed, that under Dutch law it will hold force in Aruba.
While John Q. Kelly is best known for his civil case in the OJ Simpson case, where he successfully represented the victim’s family, this is hardly analogous.
O.J. was charged with murder, tried, and acquitted. In this case, charges have yet to be brought, the investigation is continuing, and no judgment to guilt or innocence has been made.
So, while this suit made for great drama and moved the case back into the public’s eye, it has not offered any new evidence (You don't know what John Q. Kelly has up his sleeve...never underestimate a genius attorney) or insight into the conduct of the investigation in Aruba.

Aruba is frantic to not let the information regarding other claims against Joran because it would indict the current prosecutor and Dompig, van der straaten and Jacobs.
They knew of his past and went after the security guards anyway.
How are they going to explain this?
Aruba is frantic right now denying there ever were other complaints about Joran.
But there were, and we will be hearing from those people soon.
Janssen, Dompig, Jacobs and van der straaten will have to explain how they went after the guards when they themselves were aware of these other women.

Go to the "hey Joran - you got served", she prints transcripts from Greta's show, without crediting it, or better, just posting it as a link and in her words, describing what was said.
Famed attorney, Mickey Sherman, who defended Michael Skakal, of charges of beating 14 yr old Martha Moxley to death with a golf club over the head. He was found guilty of first degree murder and give 20 years. After 20 plus years The Moxley family finally got justice.
These civil papers weren't to provide new evidence or give out witnesses names. That's not what you file a civil suit for. Consider the source of the newspaper, another former spokesperson? Last month they said the investigation was delayed while they rushed to another island that Natalee was alive, the next day it was reported by others, that was not true.. They don't think Natalee is alive on another island. Over the weekend we heard the guy who helped dave write his book set up dave up and set Joran up to get him to the US, and the reporter in the US stopped her and said that is not true, there were 3 sets of investigators following the VDS to know their schedule.
Who has the motive to lie.. A mother searching for her child or Someone who is suspected of murder, rape and kidnapping against that girl? Not Beth Twitty.
Who was last seen with Natalee? Not Beth Twitty.
Who had opportunity to harm Natalee on that night? Not Beth Twitty
Who had means to harm Natalee? Not Beth Twitty.
4 goes out, 3 returns, Natalee had no money, no ID, no passport, no clothes, no transportation, no food, no phone, she didn't fly out and she didn't walk across the water and there's been not one sighting of her since she left CnC with them that night.
Straten, says he thinks she's dead last June. Dompig,has made statements that he and the FBI believe this is a homicide and think the boys are involved. He just did a few days ago again. The
prosecutor says she thinks Natalee was a victim of a crime against her.
He is making statements insinuating. Natalee forced him to come to the Holiday Inn where SHE AND HER CLASSMATES were staying? Natalee and her friends were planning to go to CnC and he said noone goes out on Sunday, nothing going on.. he shows up at midnight where NATALEE AND HER CLASSMATES are having a good time. Who forced him to come there? He said he had a gf at the time, so what was so important that he go out that night to where Natalee was if he didn't want to go? Especially if he thought she was such an awful person. He's trying to claim this 6'5 over 200 pound guy with 2 other males were forced to do stuff by Natalee, that they didn't want to do. It's like what version of the truth do you want today?! It would be terrifying to be alone on the beach in the dark in the middle of the night, especially in a foreign country.
Defense attorneys use it all the time..smear the victims.. when they don't like the evidence. They think somehow by saying stuff like someone's a slut, drunk, ,, that justify's a crime against them, they deserved it. I don't care who you are or how much money you have, Predators don't look like Frankenstein, poor people, rich people, no matter what color, deserve justice for crimes committed against them. Natalee is the person who is missing and can't speak up.. She's the victim.
If they truly want to clear their names, they should go to the police station not far from where they live in Aruba and answers the questions about the timeline that night the police have invited them to do in January. He flew off to Holland when asked. Now he's coming to news stations in the US to prove his innoncence by changing his story again? The only people the VDS are victims of is themselves.

But wouldn't that send an interesting signal ... the family of a lawyer, who wanted to be a judge in the Aruban system (only by their own admission, as detailed elsewhere on this forum, his work wasn't adequate and they weren't going to let it happen), would be too cowardly to return to face justice.
Maybe, just maybe, our government would start to get off its duff and take some interest when the legal system is ignored.
Maybe, just maybe, we could call in the Dutch ambassador and let him know that we expect some cooperation in dealing with the disappearance of a U.S. citizen.
Maybe, just maybe, Aruba would start to sweat as fast as vdS did when confronted by Beth Twitty.
And maybe, just maybe, justice could finally be heard. Right now, the vdS family is screwing not only the Holloway Twitty family, not only the American people, but also the Aruban people ... and I bet they don't like it.
I have had it with lawyers, judges, civil suits, "no body, no case", GMA interviews. It is time for Beth to get connected to the right people who can whack Joran--2-3 shots to the head, and then watch the Kalpoe creeps run to the police and confess to save their sorry asses. I think it is time for a killing. I'm right, and all of you know it!!!
Just another "wiggle" of Aruba to side-step the truth. Aruba's credibility would rise by leaps & bounds with the American people if its "spokeperson" ArubaTruth would take an impartial stance and report only the facts of the case. The "spin" they put on it just shouts to theri bias..but in all fairness, I must say that there has been a huge improvement in what is reported since the beginning of the case.
