STAGE ONE OF ATTACK--DROP IN TOURISM

Growth tourism is dropping

Although the beaches are still full with sunbathing tourists, last year’s totals up till October were hardly greater than those of the year before.

ARUBA – The government’s critics were right. They predicted a downward trend and ATA’s tourism figures over the months of August up till October 2005 confirm this. The growth in the total number of tourists visiting Aruba in the first half of 2005 was 8%, while by the end of October it dropped to 2.15% in relation to the year before.

We cannot say that the decrease was caused by the Holloway-case, because the number of American tourists dropped with about the same numbers of foreign visitors. The figures by state differ from each other.

Alabama, the state where the disappeared girl (why can't they ever use her NAME...It is NATALEEE!) is from, scored significantly lower than other American states. Also after the first quarter of 2005, by that time Holloway had not even visited Aruba yet, this state was already red in the statistics.

More worrisome are the figures from the state New York. The majority of the American tourists come from this state, about 17% of the total. In relation to 2003, 2004 had a growth of 13.47%, which dropped to 9.1% in the first quarter of 2005. At the end of June, the growth was just 3.19% and at the end of October the growth was negative 3.07%.

The figures over the entire 2004 for two other important states, Massachusetts and Illinois, are respectively 15.68% more than in 2003 and 10.19% more than in 2003 and for the first ten months of 2005, 15.74 and 14.68% more than same months in 2004

They couldn't find it in their hearts to think people from other countries besides the US are disgusted with the way they have handle a missing tourist in their country, and wouldn't want to go there either. Maybe they don't want to be "one missing person" either.

The people handling this case have been one big joke! Everything from calling her a slut, a drunk, and belittling a family in desperate search of where their daughter is. It's beyond sick.

I noticed the last line that Beth is going back to Aruba later this month..

She's spent countless hours hunting down leads in the search for her daughter, she's battled Aruban authorities, now Beth Holloway Twitty has her own sheriff's star. The mother of missing Mountain Brook teenager Natalee Holloway became an honorary deputy sheriff Thursday.

Jefferson County Sheriff Mike Hale presented the certificate, along with a replica pin of the Sheriff's badge. "She's one of us," said Sheriff Hale.

The Mountain Brook mother has been searching for her daughter Natalee since May. The case has attracted attention across the globe. "I'm very proud how you've conducted yourself and how you've handled adversity and tragedy," Sheriff Hale said to Twitty, during his presentation.

Twitty plans to use her deputy status and recent endorsement by the National Sheriff's Association to get her story out at schools across the country. "I always said that if I could come out of this with something positive to give back to other families, to their sons and daughters, that I will," said Twitty. The Sheriff said he was proud to support her cause. "Her story can save the lives of young folks across this country," said Sheriff Hale. Beth Twitty beamed with pride upon receiving the badge and certificate, "I can't even begin to explain, I would have never imagined myself being in this position and having the Sheriff's Association to support the message and our mission," said Twitty.

The "Save Yourself" campaign, is aimed at giving young adults a heightened sense of safety. Twitty plans to show a video and talk to students about her daughter's situation and how to keep safe. "I think the message shows them the dangers that exist right around the corner whether they're within our border or they leave our border," said Twitty. Safety cards will be handed out to the students, along with a rear-view mirror cling-on, that uses this motto as a reminder; "you're your own best protection, save yourself."

Twitty's campaign is also going into cyberspace. The website saveyourself.org is under construction. Safety information and materials will soon be available online.

The determined Mountain Brook mother will start visiting schools in Alabama in three weeks, and she has already lined-up speaking engagements in Indiana and Kentucky. Meanwhile, Twitty's search for answers will take her back to Aruba later this month.

Aruba is a flat and riverless (lifeless desert) island. Since the disappearance of Natalee the white sandy beaches turns gray and crappy, polluted mostly by the ALE and governmnet corruptions. The tropical air becomes very stuffy
and lack of oxygen also caused by the illegal drugs use. The trade winds are dying out and absorbed by the underwater oceanic volcano activities nearby. The ancient volcano in the center of Aruba can blow up anytime without warning just like their rampant government corruptions. People from other countries are fearing for their lives and that is the major reason for the destruction of the Aruban tourists economy.

I can remember a similiar situation here in Miami, Florida. Tourist were becoming victims of smash and grab crimes...tourist were being targeted in there rental cars by the license tag which was a dead give away they were strangers here to our city...there was a woman tourist from Germany who was killed in one of these robberies...Miami was given a bad rep for this and tourism fell...the citizens of miami raised holy hell...police were ordered to crack down hard on those responsible...rental companies had to change there policy of these easy to identify tags and just to put normal tags on their cars...employee's had to help give tourist directions to their hotels and also to give out maps with detailed help on locations and if any troubles were encounter...miami had to put up more signs and directions so tourists would have a easy time of finding there locations...police patrolled these rental areas looking for any suspicious characters following rental cars... we had to take hard core steps to combat this problem...we did not deny it or blame the tourists..we as a city stood up and confronted the problem...we as a city were honest and open and took our hits..we deserved it...but we honestly tried to rectify the problem...I wish the people of aruba would put heat on their govt. to make a stand and help clear out there garbage...We still have crime here...they will still have crime there...but you must put forward a good faith effort....the things we know about aruba now makes it difficult to think its a very safe place to go...an if you encounter trouble you are on your own...The great thing about this blog and the media coverage of the natalee holloway case will cause people to think twice about where they go and if they do go...they will be resticted about what they can and can't do...be more aware...and god help aruba if another girl comes up missing!!!!

There are two classes of people in Aruba, the pure white Dutch and the mixed bag islanders (African Blacks + South American Indians + Eastern Indians + Indonesian Asians + African Englishes (Afrikaners) + Latinos + South America Portugues + Arabs). The pure white Dutch are the rulers who are the decendants of the Great Dutch Eastern Company. The mixed bag islanders called Papiamentoes are the second class citizens who serve as servants. The white Dutch can pick any Papiamento woman or man for sex at any time. For example, Karin Janssen can pick Gerone Dumpig as her sex slave for one night, and he is to obey to submit to her pleasure. This is one of the peculiar laws in Aruba.

BlackHawk,
I visited Miami several years ago and everyone I met was so warm and helpful on my short stay.. I took a cruise to the Bahama's out of there.. But even though only a few days the folks were wonderful.. I recall the grounds keeper guy at our hotel getting a ladder out, climbing a coconut tree and cutting coconuts for us to bring home to washington .. I felt he went out of his way for us.. Also while in Bahama's the folks were wonderful, ON teh note Of Natalee and the cab story, we took cabs many times in Bahama's they were UNMARKED cars there was no indication they were taxi's

No wonder Aruba hasn't delivered on its promise of "fireworks" in the Natalee case at the end of January ... they don't have anyone going there to see them!

And what with the recent report that the government was hushing up reports of an outbreak of dengue, who would go there when there were lots of safer and more healthy alternatives?

Check the ads on Yahoo ... cruises in the western Caribbean are being practically given away. Not that I'd go even if I got to ride for free .... Beware!

So Joran treated the American tourists as his second class Papiamentoes and picked Natalee his first class sex slave. He gang-raped and murdered her, disposed her body to the ocean like the Great Dutch Eastern Company used to do. Fcck you, the whole damned sloots family.

Sue,
Sue i'm glad you had a good time while in Miami and it was safe and you could enjoy yourself and have a great vacation. I can't even count the times I have helped tourist in locating places they wanted to see and visit and to warn them of possible negative areas to avoid...Unfortunately there is always a dark side to anyplace in the world we live in and folks must be given proper information to help them avoid these areas...and the police must maintain a strong presence in these areas....BUT I don't see aruba doing anything at all and to blame a victim for her fate just makes my blood boil...to say she was drunk...using drugs...she had low morals...the MB kids were lowlifes who are not invited back to their island..these are clear signs that they don't intend to clean up there problems...it was her fault not their fault...well every dog has its day and aruba your day is here...I hope the FBI has a major sting going on in Aruba and bust em wide open then we can get somebody to roll on them and get to the bottom of this case..Keep up the pressure!!!
