Aruba Case Weighs on Spring Breaks Plans
Des Moines, IA--The disappearance last spring of 18-year-old Natalee Holloway of Alabama during a high school graduation trip to Aruba has caused concern for Iowa parents and educators considering educational trips this year.
Anita Micich, principal at Roosevelt High School, said Holloway's disappearance last year seems to be influencing some parents' decisions about trips. Micich understands their concern. "I worry about kids every day," she said. "I worry about kids every weekend. I worry about kids all those times when they're not in school and they're gone for long periods of time."
Spring break, which is next week for many Iowa students, is when student travel begins — the time to get out of the classroom and experience other parts of the country or the world. Parents spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars for student trips to places such as Chicago, Florida, Spain, Taiwan, Europe and Japan.
..."The teenage mindset is just naturally, 'I'm indestructible,' " said Laura Hammond, editor of The Next Step Magazine, a magazine for high school students. "It really is the parents' job to start from the beginning, explaining consequences for actions down the street or halfway across the country."
...Roosevelt teacher Kathryn Galligan said only 18 students have signed up for a summer 2007 trip to Europe, even though she can take up to 40 students. "This Aruba thing was very, very influential," she said. "It's not that they're scared to travel, but it's a different day and age."

Somebody said in Holland that Natalee's body was preserved in a 6x3x4 deep freezer hidden in the basement cellar of Koen's house in Aruba near the lighthouse.
I don't vote on those polls like that because I have seen many times people just delete cookies and keep on voting all they want over and over...means nothing...just that they are just as dishonest as the people they defend.
It is good to see Iowa recognize Aruba and its so-called Dutch laws for what it is: a worthless pile of crap. Dutch law is summarized best by 'If you aint Dutch you aint much'. Also you can do whatever you want in Dutch law with little or no consequence.
Everyone who has been following this case from Day 1 knows who is repsonsible.
From the beginning, the Timeline identified Joran van der Sloot was the rapist and the murderer. He has since then spun out so many of the questions and answers to his ongoing changing stories from inside the prison to ABC and FOX interviews. He should have died in the KIA prison and settled the scores and told people where Natalee was buried. Thousands of
people all over the world were harmed because of his lies. One of his former girlfriends in Aruba just committed suicide recently caused by her reactions to the shame of Joran. This young girl had an abortion and she was carrying Joran's child at about the same time Natalee was missing. What a tragedy happening in the paradise island Aruba. Despite hundreds of the dumbest detectives and police workers in the Aruba Police Department working for ten months on this case, we had nothing. Now Dompig is shifting his focus on Koen Gottenboos because Joran has shown him the sex video tape about the orgy party at Koen's house in Aruba. Koen used the speed boat the night when Natalee was gone missing.
His father Alex Gottenboos pulled strings on the government and yanked him out of the country for hiding.
Koen Gottenboos is on the 24/7 watchtower list including Joran guarded by the bounty hunters. The bounty hunters will get damn unforgivens, and find justice for Natalee. John Q Kelly is also checking on this culprit Koen and his links to Joran with details documented in his next week NYC court filings with full rebuttal to Joe Tacopina's lies which are evil and beyond decency. There is a very serious coverup of what happened the night NH disappeared and these two young men know what happened. Many of Dumpig's comments last few weeks were directed at Koen. The Gottonbos
and van der Sloot families had done too many ugly things to cover their evil sons, and are now backfiring on them. The ALE screwed this case up from Day One, they are hardly competent, collaborative and cooperative with the FBI. These two boys think they can walk free but they are not really "free", and they never will be because we all Americans are chasing after their tails. The whole truth and nothing but the truth story about Natalee's missing is what we want, and we will get that in our American court. The British detective Bo Dietl found out that the low lives Koen and Joran were once a secret gay couple from a prison document he bought it from a former KIA prison guard.

Since Joran is not really her own son, Anita gave up on him long time ago since he was a two years old rat and let Papa Paul took him wherever he wanted to go, casinos, bars and whorehouses. Anita has a part in this lying spree of the whole Sloots family for not teaching Joran better, and she is a bad sister mother. Now they try to portray him as a victim of a missing American teenage woman, and said Joran got raped and battered by that young woman at the beach. That really makes every honest American's blood boiling and wanted to kick the whole Sloot clans into the hell hole.
We Americans will not allow Joran to go free without saying I am guilty and please lock me up. Joran is totally irresponsible to his wanton actions of raping and murdering Natalee. Enough is enough of this hiding behind the ABC and FOX and NOVA interviews. Any more of these funky interviews in Holland TV networks and CBS 48 hours will not do you any good. Joran, you have made yourself the No. 1 Top Enemy of American, anywhere you go you will exposed and monitored and you still dont get it and keep continuing your blah, balh, blah. You are guilty as hell. You are just a worm in your mama's asshole, you have stolen the hopes and dreams from Natalee for she is supposed in medical school now to study to become a good medical doctor to serve the mankind. And you scumbags Joran, and you are
talking about selling your sex video tape and blackmailing your own Aruban government. We can never forgive you for what you have done as a whole world of people are feeling shame and regret of you being brought to this world by your unwedded prostitute mother and daddy Paul. The Dutch officials are heavily involved in drugs, they got their drug money in their Aruban Central Bank secret accounts. The boycott dont mean a thing to them. They don't give a thought to the dying tourism. Just for this month
of March, the ATA has lost 10 millions florins due to the deep discounts and the cheap tourists from South America who don't have any spending power. These gang tourists stole everything from the hotels, towels, soaps, and even TVs and furnitures. Many of them came in by their own boats, and then they took all their loots and plunders to the shore with
them and left. The hotel rooms were totally destroyed by these unofficial tourists. And therefore the tourists number don't count anymore. It is just a chaos down there now, and the Aruban police are helpless and overpowered. Aruba is surely in her own demise.
Sorry to hear about poor Aruba. They have only themselves to blame.
Betcha now the hotel would not be so quick to say that the MB kids would not be invited back because of their "oh, so rowdy" behavior.
Of course, I do believe that was just another bit of "misinformation" planted by the Renfro crew. How true the words "you reap what you sow" are and how fast it comes back to bite ya in the butt.
