BEN BOT--"YOU CAN'T PLAY WITH US, AMERICA"

Bot: ‘Visit to Caracas very successful’

CARACAS/CURACAO
– During his two-day visit to Caracas, Foreign Affairs-minister Ben Bot (CDA) had extensive conversation with the Venezuelan minister of Energy, Rafael Ramirez about the Isla-Refinery. Venezuela has expressed interest in the future of the refinery and is willing to invest. “The position was positive and Ramirez didn’t give the impression that the refinery had past its time and that investments would not be a good idea.”

Two LOSERS: Henk Kamp and Rumsfeld

Bot considers the two-day visit to Caracas very successful. The ‘puckering’ in the relationship after the statements of Defence-minister Henk Kamp (VVD) last spring does no longer exist after this visit. (Oh Henk...let's kiss and make up.) Bot had explained the coming political changes. He emphasized that this has no consequence for the sovereignty and that the islands will remain part of the Dutch Kingdom. He also confirmed the relationship of Venezuela with the Netherlands that has been good for more than 100 years. (Translation: They've been in bed together for more than 100 years.)

Bot has spoken with Vice-President José Vicente Rangel, Foreign Affairs-minister Alí Rodríguez, and the minister of Energy Affairs Ramirez. Bot also said that the Kingdom wants to hurry with the signing of the taxation-treaty with the Antilles that has been ready for quite some time already. The Netherlands has furthermore offered her expertise in the field of technical and financial aspects of the extraction of natural gas.

According to the Venezuelan newspaper Ultimas Noticias, This is the first time that this subject came up for discussion during a conversation with Rodriguez and the Venezuelan Vice-President Rangel that requested this. Spokesperson Herman van Gelderen emphasized that the request is taken into consideration and is not sure about the result. Bot has also assured that the Netherlands will seriously consider the candidacy of Venezuela as not-permanent member of the Security Council of the United Nations. (Oh great...hey, why not let Chavez into the club too? I hope the United Nations is educated about this issue and these people.)

The Netherlands has no hostile intensions and is not planning to make the ABC-islands available to the United States. The Netherlands will also not take part in military maneuvers with American carriers in Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao. (We don't want to play with you guys...you think you're "all that" and we are sick of it and jealous.)

According to the French press agency AFP, Bot has invited Rodriguez to be observer during Dutch military exercises. The Venezuelan Agencias indicated during a press conference that the Netherlands applauds the Venezuelan fight against drug dealings and the good cooperation between the two countries in this field. Bot has also praised the progress in Venezuela in the field of combating poverty.
(Oh my god, I am pissing my pants laughing...oooh god...woooh my stomach hurts...can't catch my breath. Hang on, need to get my inhaler.)

Director of Foreign Relations (DBB), Dito Mendes de Gouveia was not available for information on the visit to Caracas. Premier Emily de Jongh-Elhage (PAR), who is responsible for DBB, could not say anything this morning, because she had not talked to Mendes yet and neither had she received a report on the trip to Venezuela. (Translation: She didn't have time to cover her bases to get the 'lie/story' right...or not as we see with Joran, et al.)

Not Schooled in the Politics of Venezuela? Neither am I...
