CARLOS & CHARLIES--"A GOOD PLACE TO BUY DRUGS"

Cruise ship passenger caught with drugs

ARUBA – An American cruise ship passenger that took a tour of the island while in Aruba was arrested by the custom detectives when he wanted to go on board of the Carnival Destiny with cocaine and marihuana that he had bought on the island. His pockets were actually searched for a metal object that showed up on the monitor, which turned out to be a cigarette lighter. The district attorney confiscated the drugs and after he had paid the 250 dollar fine, he was permitted to board the ship.

From his interrogation, the police found out that he was on Baby Beach and in San Nicolas. A cab-driver told him that Carlos & Charlies was a good place to buy drugs, but that he could take him to a place where he can buy enough to make his trip more pleasant. Another person got into the taxi and took him to a white house in San Nicolas. He paid 100 dollars for the drugs.

Just imagine ... someone got in a cab in Aruba AND LIVED TO TELL ABOUT IT!

Not like some people we could name.

Isn't it interesting that on the "happy island," which is free of crime, one of the locals is ready, willing and eager to steer a tourist to the right place to buy drugs.

Actually, he's pretty damn lucky that he IS still alive, I suspect.

Guess they can't be bothered to put someone in jail for having drugs ... as long as they get their payoff. Of course, if you're someone like Beth Twitty, who raises inconvenient questions in searching for your daughter, THEN you get threatened with jail ....

But ordinary drug users? Music to the ears of the Aruba drug lords, I suppose.
