WHY ARE 'JORAN AND HIS PIMPS' GETTING AWAY WITH THIS?

It IS illegal--meaning it IS chargeable and punishable--under Dutch law for a witness to tell lies to the Aruban police.

From May 30, 2005, until their arrest the morning of June 9, 2005, Joran, Deepak and Satish were considered, and were publicly stated by several Aruban authorities, to each be a witness.

Lying, such as when Joran, Deepak and Satish admittedly lied about when they were stipulated by the Aruban police to each be a witness, WOULD constitute--at the very least--an obstruction of one and/or the other kinds under Dutch laws, depending on the lies.

And What About Steve Croes???

It's really very simple. The boys are considered suspects therefore, they can lie to law enforcement all they want. NOT illegal. My husband's a defense attorney here in Tobago but we lived in Aruba foe 18 years. My husband's got a litany of lies that his clients use that are very effective. It's different from the USA. But, it looks like Joran isn't the focus of ALE at this time. They're moving in a different direction.

The boys WERE NOT considered suspects at first. They were witnesses when they began their lies.

They began lying when their lips started moving.
