"Max to the Millions" has been created in hopes that Dominique (Max's 
sister, age 12) will remember her father and brother. Dominique's Dad died of a heart attack two days before her parent's 13th wedding anniversary. Max died 18 months after his father died. He died in Aruba. We went there to celebrate our strength. The school year was ending and we made it!
Max went out on a jet ski and was lost at sea. Our family found so much comfort and laughter by the water. Now there is much sadness. Max died at sea on May 12, 2004. He was 14 years old.
Death is so lonely and sad for those left behind. It's private and public at the same time. People try t
o be there, but most stay away. They want to help out but don't know how. It's hard and difficult not only for us, but for all who knew George and Max.
Maybe I'm trying to hold on to a memory. Maybe I'm trying to parent my dead child just a little longer. Maybe I'm lost and trying to find my way without drowning myself. The true reason I'm doing this is to help Dominique. It gives not only Dominique and myself a chance to heal, it also gives friends and family and chance to do the same.
We want to give and to remember while someone else receives a gift of love. The money raised will be gifted to premature babies. We will gift in the form of money to someone new each year at Max's birthday. Dominique was born a premature baby. She would like to help someone just like herself.
When George died it was so very hard for friends, co-workers and family to talk about him. It was difficult for people to know how to reach out to us. Mo
st would look at us and see our outward smile, not our broken hearts. That's all we would allow others to see. Many fumble and say things like "you look like you're doing so well". Don't judge a book by its cover. I feel we deserve an acting award.
Death is sad, lonely, private and so painful. It's something we will face sooner or later. Then, only then, will you have a hint of understanding. You can't run or hide, that's why most are so afraid. They know that they will someday lose someone they love and hold dear.
I wish for you and for us, self-strength and self-confidence to push forward to love and to live the life we were gifted. Remember and appreciate all that you have. Enjoy your life and those around you. That will truly be your treasure to hold and guide you until you meet again.

Aruba has a population of 71,566. That is .02% of the population of the U.S. It is also .06% of the population of Mexico, .16% of the population of Colombia, 24% of the population of The Bahamas. With a fraction of the population of most other countries, of course the proportion of crime will be relatively low. But just because Aruba can post low crime statistics, that does not mean that it is a safe place to visit.
In pursuing leads during the first 6 months of the Natalee Holloway missing person case, Aruba was exposed for harboring the following crimes:
On 6-18-05 police found a (partially) decapitated body of an Aru
ban male in the neighborhood called Sabana (the man was later identified as SERGIO GOMEZ). According to preliminary (unconfirmed) reports the man was murdered in his house and then later dumped in a cemetery close by. The scene at the house and the cemetery have been described as gruesome and bloody.
There are also reports of an additional person who's missing on the island. The pickup truck of the missing man has been found, but the man himself is nowhere to be found. This recent murder and additional missing case are all being investigated.
On 6-27-05 it was reported that "Several years ago the [rock] quarry dried up and the body of someone long-missing was found." [Aruba did not make this known in reporting its crime statistics - it has only ever reported "petty street theft".]
While snorkeling on 7-6-05 about a half-mile from the Marriott off Arashi beach, a woman discovered one bone in the ocean that she found between 2
large rocks. She describes the bone as being 3.5' to 5.0' long, larger at one end that was rounded like a bone joint, gray in color, and still had a "whitish tissue that was still meaty and flesh-like that was still attached to the bone." When asked if she thought it was a human bone, she said, yes, she thought it was a human's bone because the bone had not been cooked nor barbecued like an animal bone might have been if eaten as food.
Ted Williams, an American defense attorney and former homicide detective told FoxNews on 7-16-05 that an American tourist had been killed in Aruba in 1996. That is quite the jump from street theft!
Two men "committed suicide" in La Cabana Hotel owned by Jossy Mehren Mansur.
American Robert Wayne Benson that worked at the Harley Davidson dealership, found dead in a drum. Aruba claims it was a suicide.
Amy Bradley has been missing from a cruise ship that left Aruba. She visited Carlos and Charlies. Amy disappeared during the docking process in Curacao. Suspected Location: Unknown. Amy may have been abducted and is possibly being held in South America or the Caribbean.
American Willard "Buddy" Lawson went "missing" after having an argument with a beach proprietor.
Last Known Location: June 9, 1999 Windsurf Village board shop, ARUBA. Bud was wearing a t-shirt, beach shorts and no shoes.

Richard Henriquez was last seen on the island of Aruba August 24, 1996. Suspected Location: South America. Richard was being treated for a nervous condition at a local facility 2 days before he disappeared. He speaks four languages, English, Dutch, Spanish and Papiamento.

Gary Makings of 59 years of age is reported missing in Aruba on Tuesday January 29th 2002. His family is very concerned about his whereabouts. Gary went snorkeling at Boca Catalina on Tuesday morning and has not returned to his apartment since.

Why don't "we" know,the answer to these questions yet ?.It's time for someone with very deep pockets,to offer alot of money,in exchange for answers.Someone will, take the bait.In addition,You will have to promise they can remain anonymous,or get the USA,to offer asylum.It can be done,So make it happen!
Glad to see some of these questions all grouped together.
Why are two versions of any instance told...one to American media and a different one to Aruba?
It is time for some answers.
