HEY AMERICA! DO YOU CARE ABOUT THIS? YOU BETTER...

Whether you are pro-boycott, anti-boycott, pro-family, anti-family, psychopaths, what-have-you...this article is serious business. If you have been following, Oduber and other Dutch government officials have been flirting with disaster in the likes of Hugo Chavez and others who are serious threats to the United States National Security.

If you read this and can't see behind the lines, then I suggest a quick call to Dr. Kevorkian...put the rest of us reasonably-thinking Americans out of misery.

South American Economic Powerhouse In The Making

July 8, 2006

CARACAS-Venezuela is the latest member of the South American trade union Mercosur. The admittance of Venezuela will lead to further liberalization of trade on the South American continent.

However many Venezuelan businessmen are sceptical on president Hugo Chavez sudden interest in Mercosur. They believe that Chavez is using Mercorsur as an additional instrument for his anti American political agenda.

The membership of Venezuela was announced during a meeting on Tuesday in the capital city of the country Caracas. Present at the meeting were the presidents of Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. These 4 countries established Mercosur in 1991 with the purpose to have one common South American market.

The 5 member countries of Mercosur have a total of 250 million people and are responsible for 75 percent of the South American economy. The agreement means that Venezuela will revoke import duties on products from Paraguay and Uruguay effective as of now. Import duties on products from Brazil and Argentina will be revoked in 2014.

In exchange the 4 countries will open their markets for products produced in Venezuela. Paraguay and Uruguay will do so in 2013, Brazil and Argentina will do so a few years earlier. President Chavez calls the agreement a historic moment for his country.

Businessmen in Venezuela fear fierce competition from big companies of the other 4 member countries. They believe that Chavez is using Mercosur and is actively approaching countries in the region that are on the same line with him such as Cuba. (very interesting links)
