TRUTH = FREEDOM

By Meri, Aruban Boycott Contributor

On this day we celebrate our freedom. We rejoice that we live in a free country but I wonder how many of us really understand what it means to be truly free?

I know that on this day, Beth Twitty and Dave Holloway and their families understand what freedom means more than most because they have experienced what it means to lose those freedoms. On an island in the Caribbean they discovered what it meant to be isolated, lied to and where their daughter vanished. They discovered what it meant to have a police force that conducts itself like some third world gang of thugs and where only those who have influence and money are protected and offered freedom.

They probably think of those on Aruba who are now free while their daughter remains missing and unaccounted for. Some of those free souls are back on the Island...cruising the Casinos, gambling and entertaining pretty blonde girls....girls like Natalee Holloway.

Yes, Joran van der Sloot is once again trolling Aruba and he is free by any definition of the word. Back here in the USA, as we celebrate what it means to be free, the Holloway/Twitty's will never be free again. They might enjoy freedom of speech and all of the other wonderful Constitutional perks that we Americans are lucky enough to live with but they were the victims of a place that offered them no such entitlements.

With freedom comes responsibility and therefore on this July 4th, 2006, I pledge to take my responsibility seriously when it comes to continuing to press Aruba for the truth about Natalee.

Until they allow her family to know the truth of what happened to their child none of us will ever really be free...or safe. I hope that everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July and I hope that you all continue your commitment to supporting the family of Natalee Holloway until the truth sets them FREE.

I'm glad to see that you feel your 'curtain call' was perhaps, a little too hasty.

This family has absolutely no support in their battle for justice and truth - without the support of every American who claims protection under the American flag.

Natalee Holloway, an American citizen has no voice to cry out for her freedom - except through those of us who are willing to take up this battle to cry out for her freedom, her right to justice, her right to the truth, her right to be returned to her family.

None of us are perfect in how we take up this battle.
Some of us may not be perfect in the manner in which we try to speak out on behalf of Natalee.

But the bottom line is this:
NO ONE WHO IS FOR NATALEE ....IS AGAINST HER.
WE MUST STAY UNITED.
WE MUST FIND OUT VOICES AND FIGHT FOR THIS CHILD WHO IS ALL ALONE.
WE MUST STAND UP FOR NATALEE'S RIGHT TO BE FREE !
AND WE MUST ALL STAND TOGETHER FOR OUR STRENGTH ON BEHALF OF NATALEE IS FOUND WITHIN OUR ABILITY TO UNITE TOGETHER FOR HER !!!

FREEDOM IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN.

Natalee's right to freedom is the responsibility of every American who claims to treausre their freedom, for Natalee can only be free through those who will find the courage to raise their voices on her behalf - for she alone, her voice has been taken from her, and she cannot fight for her freedom.

Natalee's voice has been taken away. And this family cannot stand up against an entire corrupt country - all alone.
Natalee is one of our own.
And the Twitty-Holloway family is one of our own.

This cause for Natalee's Freedom - is OUR SHARED RESPONSIBILITY.
THE CAUSE OF LIBERTY AND FREEDOM IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERYONE!

WE MUST DEMAND NATALEE BE SET FREE FROM ARUBA! WE MUST DEMAND NATALEE BE RELEASED FROM HER IMPRIONMENT IN ARUBA.

LET NOTHING DIVIDE US.
LET NOTHING DETER US FROM FINDING FREEDOM FOR NATALEE HOLLOWAY!

Glad to see you writing again, Meri!!!!
