WHAT IS IMPORTANT? MAKING A DIFFERENCE!

Why hasnt the FBI found Natalee or Amy or all the others still missing and why are families still desperately searching? Let me take a second to explain a few things to the people who have not taken the time to educate themselves about missing persons.
First of all, the FBI mainly handles domestic issues. That did change with 9-11. However, the Patriot Act does not go into missing persons abroad. Also, this is a time of a global war on terrorism and missing persons are taking a back seat to other issues that take up the majority of the FBI's time.
Stats: 110,000 people are curently missing in the US. Thats right ~ a small city is missing. Thats one hell of a lot of people. Basically the entire population of Aruba, give or take 10,000 people.
It's fairly well known that I am from Pennsylvania. In PA we have 2,800 persons go missing every year. Yes, every year...predators do not take a year off here and there, they practice their craft on a daily basis. The FBI estimates there are minimum of 50-100 serial killers wandering the US right now. I believe that estimate is extremely low. Predators learn from their mistakes and generally do not make them again. Let's remember they do NOT want to be captured. They wish to continue their mayhem at all costs. Being locked up prevents them naturally from satisfing their cravings for death and control.
If we were to rely on the FBI to solve all of these cases, we would be where we all were just a short year ago. That has all changed. For the first time in history WE have the tools NOW to make a difference. The tool is the internet and the blogs. We now have the ability to share info and get the facts out.
TES was given (through a donation to TES I believe) the best cadaver dog in the U.S. Tim Miller has located more people with the help of people that never were involved before. Why? because this issue is finally getting the attention it truly deserves. People want to help people that need help...its human nature--the good side anyway. Tim Miller has located people both alive and unfortunately dead. But at least he is finding them now.
Although I do not post at SM any longer, I will ALWAYS give Red and Tom credit for having the foresight to start SM and dedicate so much of their time to this issue. I believe they are THE pioneers.
Lets take a second to refocus our efforts on Natalee and the others that need the help the most and get back to what is important--trying to make a difference and actually locating and finding some of these people.
Who can make a difference? You can! You have the ability to spend your time helping others if you truly wish to do so. If you are only here to derail others that wish to make a difference on this planet, then there is no hope for you. You need to re-evaluate your motives and place on this planet.
Jamie Skeeters is making a difference. Art Wood is making a difference. TJ Ward is making a difference. SM is making a difference. Larry Garrison is making a difference. Michelle from Michelle Says So and Aruban Boycott Blogspot is making a difference. Deetch from Arubadirtypolice is making a difference. Meri is making a difference. Klaas is making a diference. Debbie from Blogs for Natalee is making a difference. I hope I can make a difference.
Now whether or not you like these people or not is not the point. These people got off their asses and decided to do something about the situation. They are not criticizing others for their efforts. They are working together to get RESULTS. Let's also remember this is a new era and not everyone is going to be an "expert" from the get go. There will be mistakes made and discoveries made. There will be a learning curve as there is with anything new.
Beth and Dave need the help. I have heard many times that they truly appreciate the support they recieve. They are not alone. There are many others that need the help we can provide, even if it is to just give support and say a kind word or two. Not everyone is going to uncover the Holy Grail of Natalee's disappearence. But someone might...in fact I'm sure there will be someone somewhere.

I believe we are morphing into a new era...We are becoming modern day and law abiding Vigilante's...There is no question that when the people rise up as one and demand action the politician's pee their respective pants...And you are sooo correct it starts with yourself...I can't even begin to tell you of my respect and admiration for the folks who started these blogs...They truly are pioneer's and as we all know being a pioneer is not easy there are lots of bumps in the road but the rewards in helping others is inmeasureable...even more important we won't quit...the mainstream media will throttle down and let a story slide but with constant bombardment from the people to their websites and swamping their emails we won't let them...Natalee means more to us than a high rating and commercial selling power...Natalee could have been our daughter...She could have been the doctor that saves your life or one of your family or maybe friends..Natalee Ann Holloway is a US Citizen who had great potential for a positive effect on our society SHE deserves justice...You know we are not asking for much here...We just want Justice for a young woman and her family and friends...Like we have all said we won't quit and that is a very honest statement...Unlike Aruba Govt and ALE they are only prolonging this
with the hopes that it will go away...that won't happen...The people jumping ship and running back to holland won't help...the TRUTH will hunt you down and since were dealing with people of the lowest moral caliber one of them will eventually turn on the other and then there will be hell to pay!
Agree, except when I see all the calls for Jack Ruby. Look no further than the latest SM post. It is irresponsible and only people who would avoid justice would cry out for such acts.

THE FBI'S INTERNATIONAL PRESENCE
Why does the FBI have an international presence?
To protect Americans.
As Director Mueller notes, "the globalization of crime—whether terrorism, international trafficking of drugs, contraband, and people, or cyber crime—absolutely requires us to integrate law enforcement efforts around the world.
And that means having our agents working directly with their counterparts overseas on cases of mutual interest—not only to solve crimes that have been committed, but to prevent crimes and acts of terror by sharing information in real time."
Our international presence currently consists of more than 50 small Legal Attaché offices (Legats) in U.S. embassies and consulates around the world.
Their goals? Simple:
To stop foreign crime as far from American shores as possible;
To help solve international crimes that do occur as quickly as possible.
Apparently, Rob, part of the mission of the FBI is, in fact, to address crimes against Americans that are commited in international territory.
If we are truly to succeed in finding justice and truth for Natalee Holloway, we must UNITE ALL OUR RESOURCES, and furthermore, WE MUST UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE AND USE THEM TO OUR FULLEST CAPACITY.
The FBI is involved in this case, and we in good faith, must continue to see them as our partners in helping to find NATALEE'S JUSTICE AND TRUTH.
Those who are for Natalee, are our friends and we must not only understand WHAT rights Natalee and her family has in pursuing justice and all her rights as a citizen of the United States, but we must also use the knowledge we have of WHAT OUR GOVERMENT PROMISES TO EACH AND EVERY CITIZEN - as a means of continuing to call upon our governmental officials to demand justice for this innocent child who was so brutally victimized on foreign soil.
We must use ALL our resources and UNITE in the manner in which we use them IF we ever hope to be successful in bringing justice to Natalee and her family.
And yes....YOU ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE!!! Keep speaking out, Rob!
