WHAT DOES FOUR YEARS OF DAMAGE LOOK LIKE?

Has the injustice of Natalee Holloway wrecked a permanent havoc on Aruba’s tourism, economy and reputation for the last four years?

Let’s see…

EXHIBIT A:

Google “Aruba Boycott” and get 1,400 hits.

Google, “Boycott and Natalee Holloway” and get 22,700 hits.

Google, “Boycott Aruba” and get 26,000 hits.

Do I need to try other search engines to make my point?

EXHIBIT B:

In 2008 alone:

The E! Network put out two “documentaries”.  One was “The Final Hours of Natalee Holloway”; and “20 Most Shocking Unsolved Crimes” in which Natalee’s case was listed as the #1 “most shocking” unsolved crime.

This was above Jimmy Hoffa.

Above the Zodiac Killer.

Above Jon Benet Ramsey.

Amazing!

2008 also gave us A&E’s Bill Kurtis and the famous series “American Justice” that produced an hour special on Natalee’s case.  Using a different take, the show focused more on the ongoing recovery efforts to find Natalee’s body.

Haunting Evidence did an hour special using a psychic and some “ghost buster” toys in order to find out the truth of what Joran did with Natalee that last night.

…AND DON’T FORGET!  The Peter de Vries Special that changed EVERYTHING.

ABC’s 20/20 with Chris Cuomo did an hour long story on Natalee’s case up to date, including the aftermath of the “Peter de Vries Hidden Camera” scandal, and Joran’s “side job” of “alleged” sex trafficking of women between the borders of Thailand and the Netherlands…all conveniently caught on secret videotape.

A “Sex, Lies and Videotape” of the new millennium?  Could be…

Last, but never least…Greta van Susteren’s “career changing interview” with Joran after her multi-month man hunt across the globe to obtain interviews with witnesses and Joran himself who told Greta on camera that he did not kill Natalee, but sold her to an unknown man in Aruba for $10,000 after two brief exchanges in the casinos of Aruba.

Hours after the taped “confession”, Joran contacted Greta via email and recanted his entire story.

EXHIBIT C:

Only half way through 2009…

The Natalee Holloway Story was produced by the Lifetime Movie Network and was viewed by a record setting 3.2 million people when it aired in April of 2009.  It was the highest viewed movie in Lifetime’s 11-year history.

ENOUGH SAID

When in history has a “missing person-turned-corruption-case” garnered so much worldwide attention, especially after four years?

It is because of the people.  These are the "little people" with a HUGE voice that want to see justice.  They want to see the new developments or what Joran’s new lie will be.  They want to see punishment for those involved, and they want Natalee’s family to obtain closure.

The media feeds off what the public wants to see and hear.  Thanks to the media, Natalee’s case has never “gone cold”.  With every movie, documentary and book, Aruba’s massive wound continues to rip open with an increase of pain each time.

I know there are people out there who have no clue of Natalee Holloway.  However when I mention to someone that I write a blog about Natalee Holloway, and they say, “Who?”  The only words I need to use to jog their memories are “Aruba” and “missing”.

Ah ha!  It works every time.

Each time just one person mentions her case to another person, those negative images and stories are stored either in one's immediate conscious or will lie in the subconscious.

Perhaps that particular conversation knowingly or not, will be the cause of one less person visiting Aruba.

OH, and by the way, Carlos-n-Charlies in Aruba closed (due to the poor economy..yuk, yuk...)

I LOVE IT! CARLOS AND CHARLIE'S IS CLOSED!

I can't beleive it's been 4 yrs. God Bless the Holloways.

God Bless you for being such a good friend and writing about Boycott Aruba.

I am sure it has saved many young women misery and pain.

Thank you, I'm remembering Natalee and praying for her family.

Air conditioning and distilled water had helped Aruba transformed into a paradise resort island by the UN and US sponsored World Bank funding. Now the money dries up due to the severe boycotting forces. Without the artificail amenities, no tourists will come and all the hotels have to shut down.

Aruba is runnig of phenomenal growth. Its name has been soiled and defiled by Joran van der Sloot into a rapist murder island. Everyone shunts Aruba, Aruba is sunk.

Aruba is a failed Dutch foreign policy by over-building hotels on the island to coverup the main Antillies Kingdom income source -- drug trades and human trafficking.

The Aruba Americana is a stalled timeshare project which stands unfinished and becomes a eye sore attracting homeless, druggy, rapist and murderer bad people who attack the American tourists in nearby hotels.

Aruba is a curse. There is a twilight belief in US that when Aruba is completely destroyed, the US economy will recover quickly. So by not vacationing in Aruba, it will kill Aruba quickly and save America.

Many stimulus money have been stolen and laundering in Aruba. Aruba is again causing the banking corruptions and crisis since 2005.

The Aruba case is anything but ordinary, and it appears the Dutch government will lease Aruba to a superpower country for a hundred years to reorganize the old Aruba. The Dutch government can't no longer handle Aruba in their own Dutch way. Aruba always managed to twist the Dutch law to its advantage. American law seems appropriate for the new Aruba.

Although it has been 4 long years, it is not over and will NOT be until Natalee is found and returned home.

Aruba burned on May 30, there were no American tourists arriving at airport yesterday. Aruba is very silent on that matter. The whole island is very gloomy about its future. The Dutch government like it that way so that Aruba can be put under control of the Dutch law.

Prime minister says he is a Calvinist

Last updated: Sunday 31 May 2009 12:31 UTC
The 500th birthday of John Calvijn was commemorated in the Large Church in Dordrecht on Saturday. The church reformer was born on 10 July 1509. He founded the Dutch reform church, which still has great influence on Dutch society today. This year has been declared Year of Calvinism.

One of the speakers at the commemoration is Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende. He says the idea that people should be responsible for their own deeds should be made central to society again. Calvinism preaches that there is huge personal responsibility for the choices people make. It is a moral duty to use the freedom of choice to do good. The prime minister said in recent years this idea has largely disappeared.

He also stated that he was pleased that 2009 was getting a great deal of attention. "My reformed upbringing remains a source of inspiration and an anchor in difficult times. So yes, I dare to call myself a Calvinist."

Aruba deserves the punishment for the coverup of Natalee Holloway's rape and murder by Aruban Dutchman Joran van der Sloot. There are no American tourists arriving at airport today. The hotels have to shut down soon for lack of tourists.

Every time anyone mentions a cruise I bring up, "You're not planning to go to Aruba, are you?". We can't let people forget. There is no difference between them and Natalee - it could be them next and people need to make that connection. That's what's sometimes missing in their minds. We are too far removed from people "we don't know", but that's wrong - we should all be looking out for each other whether we "know" each other or not. Prayers go out to Natalee and her family and you Michelle for keeping it going........you troublemaker!

The international insurance companies are less willing to back up Aruba against potential disasters. It's just too much risk with Aruba's wanton Dutch law enforcement style. The airlines and cruise ships are moving away from Aruba quickly for fear of the unexpected losses and lawsuits.

Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende has said he does not regard the result of Thursday’s European parliamentary elections in the Netherlands as a judgment of government policy.

However, speaking after a cabinet meeting on Friday, Mr Balkenende said he does see the result as a stimulus to the governing coalition to “deal firmly with issues where necessary, especially in Europe”.

Mr Balkenende stressed that the elections were at European not national level, and anyway present a mixed picture of public opinion, as both pro-European and euro-sceptic parties made gains.

He said that the rise of Geert Wilders rightwing Freedom Party might create the impression abroad that “populism is triumphing in the Netherlands”, but he rejected this idea. He pointed out that pro-European parties remain in the majority.

In reference to the Freedom Party’s anti-Muslim stance, the Christian Democrat prime minister said, “I don’t want to live in a country in which people are sidelined because of their religion.”

According to the provisional results, the Freedom Party has proved to be the biggest winner in the elections, entering the European Parliament with four seats. The Labour Party was the biggest loser, retaining only three of its seven seats. The Christian Democrats remain the largest party with five seats.

Balkenende is pro-Aruba. Geert Wilders is anti-Aruba. Hero Brinkman is good friend of Wilders. Both Wilders and Hero will be investigating Nelson Oduber of Aruba of the coverup of the rape and murder of Natalee by Joran. Wilders will be most likely the next new Dutch Prime Minister.

Cruise Tourism thrives on hotels remain empty
6 Jun, 2009, 16:55 (GMT -04:00)

ORANJESTAD –– In its monthly report published yesterday on the month in March 2009 message, the Central Bank of Aruba, the Aruban economy is weakened. In particular, the tourism industry, the heavy.

Aruba's tourism is on free fall and spinaling down. The May tourism number wass very discouraging, only 12% hotel occupancy rate. The boycott is working extremely well and very deadly against the Aruban government for their on-going coverup of Natalee's rape and murder by Joran. Boycott Aruba!

There is no humility in the Aruban people, and therefore no leadership in Aruban Dutch justice. The nation of Aruba is bound to fail and perish from earth under the ArubanBoycott grassroots movement. As of today, Aruban hotels is over 90% empty. There were no American tourists coming last Friday.

Left-wing parties wanted the government to introduce a law making it compulsory for Dutch sex-site owners and operators to provide evidence that everything on their site is above board.

But according to Dutch Justice Minister Ernst Hirsch Ballin this is not realistic. He said it would be going "really far" to expect the owners of these sites to hold copies of the identity papers of all of the models involved.

Many child porn sites are hosted in Aruba to get by the underage girls issues. Aruba's new law now allow 12 years old to be trained as sex workers.

Parliament on Tuesday also rejected another motion from Brinkman which called for an investigation by Dutch detectives (Rijksrecherche) into the disappearance of Natalee Holloway on Aruba in May 2005. Brinkman wants the detectives to particularly look at the first ten days of the disappearance of the young American woman.

Bijleveld-Schouten pointed out during last week’s meeting in Parliament that Dutch detectives didn’t have the authority to investigate on Aruba. She explained that the federal detectives (Landsrecherche) were already carrying out an investigation. Only the PVV supported Brinkman’s motion.

The current Dutch government is anti-US, pro-Queen and por-Aruba, you have to wait for the drastic change when Wilder becomes the Dutch Prime Minister.

Online poker, a $9 billion to $12 billion a year industry, is legally a gray area, experts told ABCNews.com. Washington is the only state with a law on its books that bans residents from playing on the Internet. The sites themselves, however, are not allowed to operate in the United States and are all registered overseas.

Aruba is the hotspot for online poker sites. Aruba has evolved into a evil money laundering machine for drug lords who also poker with bank issued gift cards.

Dutch police have re-arrested a notorious drugs trafficker. Charles Z. was picked up on Thursday in a large-scale operation by the Dutch national police against the trade of soft drugs. Police searched several premises in the Netherlands simultaneously.

Charles Z. and his girlfriend Scarlet D. are suspected of laundering 1 million euros. The drug dealer was overpowered by a special squad on a parking lot next to the A1 motorway between Apeldoorn and Amersfoort. Scarlet D. was picked up in Spain. Ten other people were arrested.

A 53-year-old former racecar driver, Charles Z. is also suspected of managing the large scale exploitation of cannabis plantations. The police uncovered eight of his cannabis plantations last year. Earlier, he served 5 years in prison for drugs trafficking. In 2005 he was sentenced to pay back 22 million euros; money he earned through illicit practices. The Dutch public prosecutor suspects that in the same year Mr Z. ordered 1 million euros of criminal money from Luxembourg bank accounts to be paid to a race team in Indianapolis.

Mr Z. is from Aruba snd well connected with ALE. He knows Joran van der Sloot who plans to open a pot coffee shop in Thailand.

We bought a time share in Aruba almost 20 years ago. We spent 2 weeks every year in Aruba and had a wonderful time every time we went. The Arubans are warm and pleasant people and deserve to be thought of in the kindest of terms. Unfortunately there are the rest of the residents of Arua- the Dutch elite, the druggies, the criminal element, etc. We sold our time share the same year that Natalie "vanished." We will never go back to Aruba, but think it is important for the world to realize the the average Arubian is a kind and considerate person. Don't blame the average populus for the problems on the island. But don't go there for any reason. It's a shame to make the average Sruban suffer the economic downturn caused by the bad elements on the island, but that's the way it has to be.
