STEVE COHEN'S SPEAKS OUT--HIS EXCUSE

I have received much positive response to our defense of Aruba’s conduct in the disappearance case of Natalee Holloway. In Boston, this weekend at the Vacation Expo, many consumers offered their support of our stance and booked their vacations to Aruba.

It was a difficult communication forum, but I did carefully offer the official view of the case, and why we had done nothing to halt or hamper the investigation. In my statements regarding the culpability of the suspects, I offered the view that a case against the suspects was progressing and that it was the goal of the investigation to find them guilty of a range of charges.

I have been critiqued for being too strong on this issue. But, there seems to be no doubt that the prosecution seeks to prove this premise. In the United States, prosecutors regularly claim that the accussed is guilty of the crime, and then they proceed to prove it. Any other language by me on Dr. Phil would have appeared to be a dodge or cover up.

It was a highly charged, negative environment, but we felt that speaking out was better than failing to appear. It seems for most viewers, we presented a reasoned, calm perspective on the case.

It is difficult to speak to the Aruban audience and the American audience at the same time. Still, we were able to make our points:

The investigation continues
There is an ongoing search for forensic evidence
Witnesses in Alabama and Aruba will be questioned

In sum, it was a challenging, but essential opportunity to present the Aruban side of the case. Such efforts to explain our efforts to the American audience will continue, so that charges of corruption, collusion, or apathy in the case will not go unchallenged.

In deed it was a difficult and highly charged situation created by the lazy and corrupt ALE in last seven eight months. We as fellow Americans certainly hope the Arubans are providing the world with an unhampering official view of the Natalee case since Natalee is missing and she cannot speak for herself. Mr. Cohen, as a great communicator as you are, you should have the skills and experience to help us deliver high quality investigation reporting from time to time. Your future may hold when you can make the whole world feel a lot easier and comfortable regarding to the
whereabouts of the suspects. Are they considering free men now or still under suspicions? Why are you targeting the MB kids now with the help of Spencer Bachus after so many mishandling of forensic evidences in the suspects cars and
houses by the ALE. In our great American mind. we always offer a suspect a benefit of doubt, but when the ALE keeps destroying the forensic evidences they have collected and unaccountable, we Americans can no longer afford that luxury.

Let's see... Joe M (who gee... happens to support Natalee's family in their plea for justice.... is NOT allowed onto Aruba (all that nasty PAST criminal record. Yet... that same island welcomes the like of Posner with open arms? But... even more to the point would be the observation that THIS MISLEADING - LET ME RETRACT THAT - WHAT I REALLY MEANT - COHEN... was recently here in the U.S. ... hmmm.... amazing how HE can enter the land of the free and the home of the brave. Oh yeah... America IS a FREE COUNTRY. Unlike... apparently... Aruba.

Isn't it amazing that this "experienced" television person can't grasp that the Dr. Phil show WAS TAPED AND AIRED... we who saw it have to wonder what kind of idiots he must think we are that he apparently believes he can now explain that he did not SAY what we absolutely HEARD?

There's no WOULD HAVE involved here Cohen. Try DID APPEAR TO BE A DODGE ... AND... COVER UP.

It was a highly charged, negative environment, but we felt that speaking out was better than failing to appear. It seems for most viewers, we presented a reasoned, calm perspective on the case.

Now... the pollster-COHEN ... yep he has his finger on the pulse of OUR nation and tries to state as a "fact" that he has merely made this follow-up, retraction, statement of corrected explanation for the sake of the mere ... MINORITY(?). And worse... THEY (Aruba) are the ones trying to put a CALM perspective on the case. Get real Cohen. Beth Twitty sat there and was the usual epitome of calm... in comparison... to how a huge crowd of Americans would have VEHEMENTLY responded to you and your apparent attempts to mislead once again.

It is difficult to speak to the Aruban audience and the American audience at the same time. Still, we were able to make our points:

Now this is one of the most truthful statements to come out of you. Yep. I can imagine it is very difficult to tell both sides of these entirely opposing TALES simultaneously without TRIPPING YOURSELF UP over your own lack of citizenship. Let's see... your Aruban-Tale is that those MB kids just ran off and refused to be interrogated and if you'd only been able to speak to them the case would be solved... which is of course intended to tell Aruba's everyday normal citizens that those American Kids were involved in the disappearance of Natalee... not your poor persecuted little Dutch-elite and his two buddies. But... your American-Tale is that everyone in authority (assuming Aruba had anyone in authority) knows they are guilty and there is already forensic evidence to support their guilt but you are merely gathering some last pieces of information to make the case against them more solid.

1.The investigation continues
2.There is an ongoing search for forensic evidence
3.Witnesses in Alabama and Aruba will be questioned

Yeah... the investigation on how to delay admitting the cover-up as long as possible so that any monied people of Aruba have time to sell off their assets and slip off into new lives elsewhere? Surely anyone with a brain there... can see... THIS WILL NOT BLOW OVER.

Yeah... ongoing search for forensic evidence... start with where the police discarded the belt that T.J. Ward found near the lighthouse that was thrown away because "it looked too old!?!!?!?!" ... what you really mean is figure out some way that you can account for all the evidence and leads that have been ignored, discarded, discounted and otherwise used or hidden as part of the Cover-up.

Yeah... witnesses in ALABAMA and Aruba will be questioned. There is that little tidbit just in case any Arubans actually see the show. What, is this your bone to the locals? Surely they see you for the liar you are.... I'm sure that even the everyday Aruban can see you are a liar and do not have their best interest even near the edges of what comes out of the sides of your mouth. But good try Cohen. Good try.

Ah... another kernal of truth here Cohen. See.... we had been under the possibly humanitarian perception that you came on the show to DO THE RIGHT THING, you know like TAKE THE HIGH ROAD... something along the lines of doing what you could to COMFORT A GRIEVING MOTHER AND FAMILY.... but no... all that would be not only "besides the point" but also by your own words... entirely WRONG. You were merely on the show because you and Aruba have been caught in a horrible cover-up effort to protect the island elite even at the cost of their entire way of life. We get it Cohen. Honest... we get it. This little end of your statement right here is part and parcel to the crux of the problem.... is it just you... or does nobody in authority there get it yet: This is NOT about TOURISM and how to save it. THIS IS ABOUT NATALEE AND BRINGING HER JUSTICE.
