BLINDSIDED BY MEDIA WHORES

THE BLINDSIDING OF BETH TWITTY AND DAVE HOLLOWAY

By Meri, Boycott Blogger

Beth Twitty was asked to join the family of her attorney, John Q. Kelly on Super Bowl Sunday. They hoped that she could take some time out from her never-ending mission of trying to find out what happened to her daughter by relaxing with friends. That was not to be.

During the Super Bowl, (which the family, along with Beth, were watching), suddenly a picture of Natalee appeared on screen accompanied by the information that the van der Sloot's (the family of the "SUSPECT", Joran van der Sloot) would be appearing on Good Morning America the next morning. She was stunned.

Dave Holloway received a call from a friend informing him of the news. NO ONE from that show had the courtesy or decency to inform the family of Natalee Holloway that the parents of the "SUSPECT" in the disappearance of their daughter would be making their case for their son's innocence and stating how horribly that awful Natalee had ruined his live by disappearing while in his company.

The "Suits" from GMA obviously never heard that the citizens of America were supposed to be kind, decent and compassionate folks. They never heard that the citizens of America are supposed to care about one another.

Obviously, the pseudo-Journalistic host, Diane Sawyer never heard of those traits either. Anything for ratings; anything for the almighty dollar. Never mind if you blindside and harm the true victim of this horrid case.

Write to GMA, let them know how you feel about what they did. It IS their right to have anyone they please on their show, there is no dispute there. What is disputed is how coldly and cruelly they went about it.

You can also hold their feet to the fire regarding how they failed to ask any of the questions that many American Citizens would like answers to. Why did they give a forum to the "SUSPECTS" family and offer no rebuttal or airtime to the true victim's family?

Why did Sawyer treat them like celebrities and handle them with kid gloves? Why weren't Paulus van der Sloot's own lies brought up and why wasn't he confronted with them?

WRITE the show and make your feelings known. BOYCOTT GMA.

Diane Sawyer is not the 20/20 Barbara Walters. Diane wears contact lenses in the GMA and she can't read her script too well. She has to do her show from memory, and she does not have a strong memory, and she forgets the hard questions. She looks awefully dressed in black in the early morning hours like coming back from a bad funeral. Her blonde hair were falling all over her shoulders. She is in her forties and just has got a facelift done for her new newscast job. Diane Sawyer is lacking the confidence she needs. She has made some very bad decisions lately already in her new career path. The Disney parent don't think their Family oriented infotainment and resorts business should get mixed up with the suspected rapist/murderer Joran van der Sloot and his parents. Who would want a rapist/murderer suspect Joran roaming around among the young beautiful tourists in Orlando. Diane Sawyer, you just shut up your damn mouth. You also have an awefully looking lip stick color. Where did you get that, from Aruba?

As sad is this is , I also think it was a good thing over 90 million people were watching the Super bowl and bang there was Natalee face on the screen .. Wake up america she is still missing,it is still a cover -up and now 90 plus million people still know

You know Sue--I think you are right. Putting Natalee's face in front of the entire country was a great thing. However, ABC made a huge faux pas in NOT telling the family in advance. That is just plain UNPROFESSIONAL and uncourteous. That's why they are called media whores!

yeh it was a big mistake but we are getting used to that with this case....I hope paulus and joran were watching the game...surprise you guys..the SUSPECTS family...with millions watching..If there are girls hanging out with joran now they have to be mentally challenged i would think...Keep up the pressure!!

I THINK ALL PUBLICITY IS GOOD. LET AMERICA SEE HOW CALLOUS THIS FAMILY IS.

Oh Michelle I totally agree,
I also think they should have given the Holloway family and attorney to be there..I know i was watching the game at work and Bam there was the commercial.. I was just shocked, I can just imagine how Beth felt

Ps.. Yes Joran has changed, He now like men after his little stay in jail.. he is no longer a pimp but a bitch

The flashing of image of Natalee before 90 plus millions people worldwide in the Super Bowl was quite a shock, people might speculate that a famous queen or princess had just passed away, my husband thought the image look similar to the daughter of Queen Beatrix of Holland, but it was actually meant to demean and delittle the raped and murdered victim Natalee, and it was served as a foreplay for next morning's unscheduled GMA show mini series. What a dirty trick! But it all backfired back on GMA. People are now worrying Joran will sneak into many of Disney entertainment parks all over the world to harm the young girls. I and my family will not go to Orlando this summer unless the Disney authorities will guarantee that Joran van der Sloot will not be there. That's really crazy thing the GMA had done last two days. God have mercy on us.

Could not agree with you.....less.
If Greta and Rita can show ONE SIDED views of this case every night, then why can't GMA show the other side. I mean, come on - they did a fair interview. Joran is not in jail, so why can't the family express their views? It's not like GMA was taking sides with them.
They don't need to let Beth Holloway know every time they want to do a piece. Sure Greta lets her write questions, but good, responsible media does not let the players in this case dictate the mood.

It is a image problem. Would you like to see Miss Snow White gone missing with Joran, Deepak and Satish? Disney owns ABC. And ABC had done a terrible disservice to its parent Disney. Since Peter Jennings passed away, ABC has been going downhill on its newscast til the last Sunday Super Bowl. Super Bowl coverage was such a success, now with this PVDS thing in GMA, they had ruined everything again. People are back in a bad mood with ABC. They would rather watch the cable news. Which I do. You just never want your dearest Snow White beautiful daughter have anything to associate with these muderous suspects rapists Joran, Deepak and Satish. The image of a good business is critical, I think Disney is in serious trouble because its Snow White Innocence is badly tainted by this unspeakable Aruba coverups.

Well, Joran Van Der Sloot may be free, but that‘s not stopping the parents of the primary suspect in the Natalee Holloway case from coming to his defense. Anita and Paulus Van Der Sloot are speaking out for the very first time since Joran‘s release from jail in September. They defended their son, saying that the investigation has absolutely devastated him.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANITA VAN DER SLOOT, JORAN‘S MOTHER: For him, it‘s also the thing that he regrets every day that he did not hand her over to a guard or somebody.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

COSBY: And on the phone with us right now is Natalee‘s father, Dave Holloway. Also with us is Holloway family attorney John Q. Kelly, who was in Aruba just last week. Dave, let me start with you. What‘s your reaction to them talking now? What do you think is driving this?

DAVE HOLLOWAY, NATALEE HOLLOWAY‘S STEPFATHER: Well, he appears to be very relaxed and confident, versus the last time I saw him, where he was very nervous and afraid. His son‘s out of jail, and things appear to be going well for him.

COSBY: Well, you know, his parents were asked about the night that Natalee vanished. Remember, Joran‘s always maintained he left her on the beach. This is what they said about this. Let‘s take a listen. And then I want to get to you respond, Dave.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

ANITA VAN DER SLOOT: That was the most difficult thing to deal with as a parent. And for him, it‘s also the thing that he regrets every day, that he did not hand her over to a guard or somebody. He said she was able to walk, and when he mentioned that he wanted to bring her to the hotel, she didn‘t want to go.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

COSBY: Dave, what do you make of their comments?

HOLLOWAY: Well, it sounds like to me that they‘re a lot more relaxed and the stress is off of them. And of course, with us, it‘s—we still don‘t have our answers and we still don‘t have our daughter.

COSBY: Do you believe them, Dave, that just left her on the beach and he regrets it every day?

HOLLOWAY: I have my doubts.

COSBY: John Q. Kelly, what do you think? Do you believe him?

JOHN Q. KELLY, HOLLOWAY FAMILY ATTORNEY: No, not at all. You don‘t fabricate a story like he did after the fact about taking her back to the hotel and leaving her with the security guards if you have nothing to hide. You make up a story and you lie for a reason.

COSBY: You know, John, you were with Natalee‘s mom, Beth, yesterday.

KELLY: I was.

COSBY: How did you find out—I was really surprised to hear this.

How did you find out that the Van Der Sloots were even doing an interview?

KELLY: Beth had come into town yesterday for some business. And she was in here alone, so we invited her up to the house. We had a bunch of family and friend over, and we were actually watching the Super Bowl. And they promoted it by putting a picture of Natalee on the screen during the Super Bowl, which is supposed to be a festive time. And it was rather awkward, uncomfortable and just a painful moment for everybody to see that being promoted during the Super Bowl with no notice.

COSBY: I can—how is—what was Beth‘s reaction?

KELLY: Just stunned. I mean, you‘re just there, trying to relax, just, you know, trying to be social and things, and all of a sudden, you see your daughter‘s picture there to promote these people, who know probably what happened to your daughter, being, you know, promoted and coming on the tube the next day.

COSBY: Yes, it must have been very hard. You know, John, Joran‘s mother and dad made a lot of statements.

KELLY: Sure.

COSBY: And one of them, I want to put it up on the screen. This is when they talked about their son‘s, you know, possible guilt. If he was guilty, what would they do? And they said, quote, “If we would have any feeling that he was involved in something, Paul”—the father—“would have taken him to the police station and said, Here, hold him. He did something. He deserves a punishment.”

John, what‘s your reaction to that?

KELLY: Well, I don‘t think it‘s up to the parents, who aren‘t really impartial, to decide whether their son‘s involved in foul play or not. I mean, clearly, Paul Van Der Sloot instructed his son to be obstructionist and uncooperative. He instructed him not to use e-mail, not to use cell phones, to keep his story straight, to get lawyers immediately. And he was obstructionist from the start. And you know, what he says today and what he says tomorrow—you know, I think he thinks people forget how uncooperative he‘s been from the start in this whole investigation.

COSBY: You know, and Dave, that line of “no body, no case,” which he reported said to his son—he was asked about that. He denied that. Btu this is what he said. He said, “i didn‘t use the words, No body, no case.” This is in the recent interview with “Good Morning America.” “I told him to cooperate so much as possible.”

Do you think he did encourage them and ask them to cooperate as much as possible, Dave?

HOLLOWAY: It‘s my understanding that he helped them find their attorneys and, you know, like John said, coached them through it.

COSBY: And what do you make of the fact that here they are on TV now, Dave? I mean, how tough is it for you, acting like, you know—do you think they‘re trying to create sympathy for their son, like, poor Joran?

HOLLOWAY: You know, I don‘t have any idea what they‘re up to. Like John, yesterday, I received a phone call. And some of my friends called and said that they were being interviewed or going to have an interview the next day. And so I continued watching the Super Bowl, and lo and behold, there they were.

COSBY: What a shock. And John, real quick, what do you think is driving them? I know they also have a lawsuit for damages.

KELLY: Ultimately, it seems like it might be about money. They‘re waiting for a decision on the damages claim. I think he‘s trying to put a good face on a bad situation, where he‘s, as I said, totally uncooperative and assisted his son and his friends in a cover-up from the start.

COSBY: You think it‘s trying to set the stage for the lawsuit—oh, poor me, look what we went through, John?

KELLY: Yes, and also trying to clear his name that was rightfully sullied and dragged through the mud by the steps he took early on to protect his son and his friends and obvious cover-up and totally—one other thing, Rita, I just want to point out real quick is, just remember, as recently as Christmas, Joran was invited in to clarify some statements of his, and he refused. So he‘s clearly not being cooperative, and the father‘s not telling him to be cooperative.

COSBY: And I know that part 2 of the interview‘s going to run tomorrow. We‘ll probably talk a lot about it tomorrow, as well, guys. Thank you very much, Dave and John. Thank you very much.

Why is Beth always the lone ranger?
You never hear anything about the two of them, or the family.. its always her by herself.

Business on a weekend. Thats time for family. That poor woman is losing more than a daughter she is loosing precious time with her son.
soon he'll be out of the house and on his own. You could tell the last time Jug was interviewed he looked sad and lonely. Poor man.
god bless you.....

The poll rating for GMA is down quite a bit. People just don't like GMA got messed up the family values with those suspect rapists and murderers and more lies.

This comment always intrigued me. As if there were a 'guard or somebody' nearby that Joran could have 'handed' Natalee over to.

On the beach?? By the Fisherman's huts? Or are we still dropping her off by the HI? There were others around?

I think we should let the sloots keep talking. Let them get on EVERY American news show. Even with the 'pre approved' Q&A -- they will hang themselves if allowed to keep talking.

If the GMA dog and pony was arranged by Steve Cohen - you have to wonder. Is he that stupid? Or is he smart as a fox -- and really not on the side he is pretending to be on.

To anonymous above--

You are ABSOLUTELY right! I don't like seeing their faces on TV, but you are right...let them hang themselves by their slips of the tongue or odd phrasing and weird body language. PVDS can't even look into the camera! His back is slouched with his head in a downward position. He looks tired. Check out the picture!

PS--I think Cohen knows the truth and is playing both sides. His 'ooops' statements on Dr. Phil were probably done unconsciously because he knows these people are "guilty as hell".

ABC was instructed not to show any more of the PVDS stuff by its parent Disney. Disney never welcome suspected rapists and killers among their kids in Orlando. GMA has the 2nd PVDS miniseries Part I, II & III to be shown over this weekend, and is being ordered to shut up and causing no more damages. Enough is Enough.

Anonymous on 2/9 at 1:19:38, how do you know this about Disney? Do you work for them? What is the source of your information? I'm not saying you're wrong at all. I just would like to know how you know this because, frankly, I hadn't considered Disney as having that high a standard anymore. Their image is not what it used to be, so I'm a bit surprised to hear this.

I work at Wall Street and I got a phone call asking about Disney what if ABC. Thereon the respose was negative. Since a mega deal could be affected by a small tempest.
