Aruban police secretly recorded discussion between Joran and Deepak after their arrest. It has been explained as an explosive, obscenity-laced confrontation.

• While Natalee and the three boys were in the car, Satish played a porno on the vehicle's DVD player.

• Another girl told police that before she had sex with Joran, he gave her a drink that left her lips tingling--bolstering the theory that Natalee was drugged.

• Joran claimed Deepak told him that he wanted to rape a girl.

• Satish was haunted by the ghost of Natalee in his jail cell and was "scared stiff"

• At the time she vanished, Joran was being treated by a psychologist because he stole money from his parents and lied habitually.

• Joran told police he believed Deepak buried Natalee on the beach.

• June 10, 2005, "I have been drinking since I was 15. I can drink up to 20 or 30 rums or whiskies before I get drunk. When I get drunk I get tired. I don't get nasty. Deepak on the other hand gets 'aggressive and nasty' after 10 whisky-and cokes. Sometimes Deepak wants to fight."

Deepak stated, "Tourists." The detective probed, "Who is always the first to make a move to the girls?" Deepak answered, "Most of the time it is Joran and his friend (Name removed to protect his identity) Freddy, perhaps???

• The detective asks, "Do you guys have sex with them?" Deepak answers, "Yes, it happens." "Do you guys have sex together in the same room?" Deepak stated, "Yes, it happened."
  

• The detective continues, "Are you under a doctor's care?" Joran stated, "Yes. Before the girl was missing I was under a psychologist's care because I took 50 Euros ($60) from my father and took money from my mother and I took a cell phone from my brother...I spoke to my psychologist because I had been lying so much."
  

• The detective asked Deepak, "What kind of advice did Joran's father give you guys?" Deepak stated, "If we get arrested we need to be calm and stick with our story." Deepak also stated that Paulus told them, "No body, no case."

Daddy Sloot on Joran's Lying:

• "To your question--how well can Joran lie? I can state the following: In the past, JOran has lied about money that he had stolen from us. We brought it up with the youth psychologist."

The Boat Theory:

• June 10, 2005 Joran was questioned about boats. The detective asked, "Which one of your friends has a boat?" Joran stated, "Koen Gottenbos' father. A speed boat. It's at Koen's house. I have never been on it. I get seasick and that is why most of the time I never go boating. Koen does not have a boat license, but he can handle it."
