WE NEED MONEY! BUT LET'S UPDATE THE AIRPORT FIRST...

Aruba officials are worrying about money and loans, and now there is an urgency to update the airport? To impress who? The visitors you are losing? Keep on "marketing" towards the British and Dutch and other chumps who waste their money coming to your stinky little island.

These nuts don't understand that they are driving their airport to become a jungle by being more "tropical". The shadow of Natalee's disappearance, kidnap, rape drugged, gang rape and murder cast the Aruba airport into a valley of death. The utmost need of air travellers is inner peace and feeling of comfort, safety and security. They want all the airport area are air-conditioned and plenty of comfortable leather seats that they can stretch their back and legs on. They don't want an open air airport with all these humid salty smelly air from the nearby landfill. With all these artificially planted palm trees, there is possibly a terrorist hiding behind every tree, that's scary. More robberies, kidnap and killings can occur to the American tourists. Plus, the new shelters will attract more local homeless people and drug addicts to squadder on the airport property. A good airport needs to be clean, well lighted and more of comfortable furnitures.

No, not the last. I like good discussions, and as long as somebody comes with good arguments, I will agree with them if they can convince me. For the same reasons I don't like many posts that you do put on of people obviously talking jibberish. I still think that those posts do more harm than good to the cause. But it is your site, so you have to decide.
Anyways, I agree with what you said that they need money, but at the same time they want to upgrade their airport.
