WILL "PERSISTENCE" PAY OFF?

SEARCHING FOR NATALEE

WILL THE SEARCH VESSEL PERSISTENCE FIND SUCCESS?

Check out this spectacular website detailing all the efforts into finding Natalee.

The purpose of the blog is to give an inside look into the search for Natalee. All writings from this blog are from a geophysical engineer and marine geologist on board the search vessel R/V Persistence. Behind the search effort is a team of individuals with a single unified focus and purpose: Find Natalee Holloway.

Excerpts from Geophysical Engineer and Marine Geologist)

"...The final and most elaborate search for Natalee Holloway has begun. This is likely the most complicated post-mortem search of its kind in history. This case has had many twists and turns during it's 2+ year history. This is one of the final chapters that will hopefully provide closure both to the Holloway family and to the watching world.

I've described this search to reporters and friends as a search for a needle in a field of hay stacks while hovering hundreds of feet above the field. However, we have the best needle-detecting equipment and detectors on the planet. The attitude on board the boat is unanimous and unwavering. We know that if God wants her body found, the chances of success are perfect.

It's clear to me that we are again being beckoned into regions of the unknown. We all have our hopes and expectations on what will happen and what we will find. All of us replay slightly differing scenarios through our minds as we lay awake tonight. There is one common thread however that permeates all of us. We know that God has us here for a purpose, and that purpose is being achieved and revealed to us one word of the manuscript at a time."

To put this all in perspective...

  • We will be searching waters as deep as 6 times the height of the Statue of Liberty, or almost as high as the Empire State Building.
  • The equipment is towed behind the boat near the seafloor almost 1-mile behind the boat, or over 16 football fields away.
  • There are swift currents, rough seafloor topography, and unknown terrain.
  • We are looking for a target the size of a shopping cart within the area of Manhattan.

"...The target is a ~1m x 1m fish/crab trap. A search of this size and complexity, utilizing some of the best equipment and personnel in the world would typically cost around $80K per day, or well over $1 Million. However, due to some deep-pocketed private benefactors and mass-charitable collaboration among multiple equipment lease and marine survey companies, this project is being conducted... without charge."

Neither the US or Dutch government is paying for it.

The equipment consists of the following:

  • Side scan sonar (Edgetech FS4200)
  • SeaEye ROV, or remotely operated vehicle
  • Sonardyne USBL (Ultra-Short Base-Line) system providing acoustic tracking of the side scan sonar and ROV
  • Navigation provided by WinFrog software
  • The vessel positioning is provided by multiple Trimble GPS receivers giving us about 1m accuracy.
  • Communications (Phone, data transmit, and Internet) are performed by an Agiosat Global Communications Marine Tracking System.

The ship and her crew are very high tech and smart. They follow their instinct and intuition to chart their brave voyage and avoid most of the winterly storms. Persistence looks real good, she has over 75% of the chance of finding natalee in a fish trap or some sealed container. 25% will be the interference coming from the corrupt and cruel Aruba government.

Anonymous said...

If the Aruba government dare to touch RV Persistence, it will be a serious international crisis. RV Persistence will not permit the Arubans to take away from her the remains of Natalee found at sea. The Arubans may be armed and dangerous like the Caribbean Pirates to board the ship. Our President Bush like late Ronald Reagan ought to say a few words about this potential threat from the Aruban government. Mike Huckabee also ought to backup Persistence's goodwill mission.

Anonymous said...

In my humble opinion, the Aruban government want the ship wrecked and sunk, once and all for the December 31 shutdown of the Natalee Holloway murder case. Joran is staying in Aruba, planning on how to sink RV Persistence. Joran and Paulus can hire the cholers as suicide boat bombers to attack the ship and her crew. Or they can kidnap them, making them the American hostages. This prediction is reasonable and highly possible.

Anonymous said...

Julia Renfro will torture the Persistence crew members for confessions, just like the NKoreans. People think these things will happen next week.

Anonymous said...

Taco and Greta are secretly encouraging the stupid Arubans to commit this crime of the century by kidnaping Persistence, just to give the FoxNewsNet the good ratings. They both are just so mean and low life.

Anonymous said...

People think Huckabee will certainly take advantage of this potential threat coming from Aruba. President Bush is chicken so far on the Joran criminal issue.

Anonymous said...

Let's get the show started and find Natalee!

Anonymous said...

The hate sites are demanding President Bush to condemn Persistence's action.

Anonymous said...

The Dutch warn the Arubans not to commit such stupid crime. Enough is enough. Or they will take down the whole Aruban government. The Dutch marines are put on alert to watch the intentions of the ALE naval forces. They have the orders to gun down the offending Aruban boats.

Anonymous said...

President Bush will likely disagree with Persistence plan in his next week national radio talk.

Anonymous said...

One hate site said the Americans are invading Aruba, that's not right, just like the Iraq war.

Anonymous said...

That will get the voters' great attention. It will affect the outcomes in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. The Republicans will be the big losers.

Anonymous said...

Will the Aruban government stop the American Airlines landing on Aruba? Or will they arrest one of the Persistence oceanic scientists?

Anonymous said...

People still remember the Republican Congressman from Alabama. He helped the corrupt Aruban officials to coverup Natalee's rape and murder by Joran, Deepak and Satish in Aruba.

Anonymous said...

Aruba will lose face to the hate sites if it just stands there and watches RV Persistence retrieving Natalee's remains from the ocean bottom. The enemies will force Aruba's hand to attack Persistence.

Anonymous said...

Two things will surely happen next week. Persistence will find Natalee's body. Second, Aruba will attack Persistence to steal Natalee's remains. Aruba will not let Persistence go free. The Dutch Navy can't do much to protect Persistence. They evedrop on the Aruban communications and provide tips to Persistence to watch out for the Aruban attacks.

Anonymous said...

Their worry is not about Natalee's body which will not matter the cold case of her rape and murder. It is about their long suspected undersea cocaine smuggling operations. Persistence ROV will take pictures and video of what's going on under the Aruban waters.

Anonymous said...

The only protection Persistence has is the webcams installed onboard. The webcams will video broadcast the Aruban boats surfing around Persistence over the Internet.

Anonymous said...

If ALE fired at Persistence and boarded the ship, people all over the world will see and scream at them, and shout them down. That's all you can do.

Anonymous said...

Currently the enemies and hate sites are in the state of impass. Some say, Aruba kill. Some say, don't. They just don't know what to do or say to Persistence, because Persistence is just a ship. She is not Beth, a mourning mother you can blame on.

Anonymous said...

Persistence is a kindness and movement that outsmarts the Arubans and all other enemies.

Michelle Says So 2.0 said...

Now that was just a ridiculous comment. On what grounds would anyone be arrested? And the Aruba government does NOT have any such authority regarding the airline industry which is governmentally regulated.

Michelle Says So 2.0 said...

People still remember the Republican Congressman from Alabama. He helped the corrupt Aruban officials to coverup Natalee's rape and murder by Joran, Deepak and Satish in Aruba."

That would be the "wonderful" Alabama Congressman Spencer Bachus.

"Money from a Dutch company went to Governor Bob Riley, Senator Jeff Sessions, Senator Richard Shelby and member of Congress Spencer Bachus."

Ramm explained to me the ALE can arrest anyone on mistrust of anything that will harm the nation for first eight days under the Aruban law with the catch and release provision. The mistrust could be that the scientist carried his laptop computer which contains sensitive sonar technology software. Aruban law are much more invasive than the Dutch law, as re-iterated by Ramm on the poison of Aruban law.

Anonymous said...

Ramm further sustantiated that ALE can forward or delay the arrest for 10 days allowed by the Aruban law. The jail airtime of 8 days are credited to their ticket book, it can be carried over to another arrest and dispose. The Aruban law is even more stranger than the orthodox Dutch law in Holland due to the nature of Aruba is centerfold of drugs and human trafficking.

The Christmas plays into the favors of Persistence. Persistence will be watched by millions of viewers all over the world and in USA. That puts Aruba in a very uncomfortable situation. They will view Aruba is a very dangerous and uncivilized island to visit. The hotel rooms will be empty. That's something Aruba don't want. They want a full house of tourists at Christmas time like the one in year 2000. When people escaped USA and celebrated their millenium in Aruba. Aruba was quite a boom town then. You can still find a lot of year 2000 wall clocks for sale in the downtown stores in Aruba.

Anonymous said...

People will see the future attack on Persistence by the Arubans is premeditated. Just like the attack on Natalee Holloway in the past. The Dutch navy are so drunk, the Arubans may hijack a Dutch gunboat and use it to blast RV Persistence off. The Arubans are dare devils, they have no fear and no shame. That's what Joran and the pimps are going to do, and to make a No Ship No Cage stance.

Anonymous said...

Saturday is the showdown between Persistence and Aruba, a Good vs Evil reality shown. To be or not to be is upto Aruba's choice. The Persistence project will pay off. Natalee will be rescued and come home. Joran will be exiled to the island of Aruba forever. He knows he cannot set foot on the US soil. He will be arrested in US for running a red traffic light. There will be no catch and release from there on. He will be rotten in jail for the rest of his life because the new lawsuits will be on and on to waste his life in prison. He can always read his Dutch bible to study the Aruban laws to become an Aruban lawyer just like Joe Taco and his daddy Paulus.

Anonymous said...

Persistence is bound to find something on Aruba while looking for Natalee in the ocean. Aruba have too many dark secrets and lies at sea. People wonder how many corpses Aruba had thrown into the ocean in the past. People are very critical about Aruba's low murder rate, the lowest statistics in the world. Aruba have more skeletons hidden in their hotels and closets.

Anonymous said...

A picrure is better than a thousand Aruban laws. For her own protection, Persistence will starting iphoning all the undersea images to expose Aruba while she is circling around Aruba looking for Natalee's remains. That is the most dreadful thing ever happens to the Beth haters. Persistence is no different from any ocean going trawlers who can do fishing at night.

Anonymous said...

The Americans are urged to avoid traveling to Aruba at this point of time by the term life insurance companies, otherwise the premiums will go up on them on the next billing cycle. Aruba is now considered a high risk destination for msot traveler's insurance companies in New York.

Anonymous said...

There is a common knowledge out there that 3.5 miles offshore the lighthouse is a massive unmarked graveyard undersea in concrete barrels dumped by the Arubans. Many Arubans can't afford the funeral homes, they choose the sea burials at night when nobody sees them.

Anonymous said...

The Arubans are in great pain and denial when they see Persistence is coming. They wish and pray Persistence being sunk by the storms and just vanished like Natalee. They worry about their muderous darkside belly being uncovered by Persistence. For the past ten years, many Americans disapeared in Aruba without a trace, now it is the time to find out what is going on down there in Aruba.

Anonymous said...

The concept Persistence is just a convention to uncover Aruba's murders and coverups of many missing Americans in Aruba. It is not an easy job, but doable by Persistence by going all the ups and downs in the stormy Aruban corridor. It's a long haul coming to collect on Aruba finally.

Anonymous said...

The massive undersea graveyard goes back to the early days of Aruba when it seeked independence from the Dutch Kingdom. A lot of Aruban revolutionaries were killed and had no place to bury them but the sea. You just accept it as it is. Aruba is crime and drug ridden. That becomes a tool used by the Arubans to dispose corpses. The motto of No Body No Case is an extension protocol of ALE.

Many tug boat like ships have deep strong backbone so they won't tip over in the rough sea with 25 ft wave. They will roll with the wind but the thrushers at the bow and midship will keep the ship balanced by the automatic motion controllers. A tugboat the size of Persistence can travel from England to Falkland Islands during the the war to tow a disabled sub across the Atlantic ocean.

Many cancellations of room reservations are wired into the Aruba hotels. People prepare to watch Persistence on their widescreen TVs over the weekend.

AHTA told Mos and Smid that closing the Natalee case will mean Aruba tourism drops dead. And the government will have no money to pay their salaries. Mos and Smid will be laid off as government employees under the Aruba emergency laws.

Anonymous said...

It's without a doubt that Aruba had screwed up their economics, then why don't they just fix the problem and go on?

Anonymous said...

Tim Miller is a details guy he knows what he's talking about. He knows Aruba will deny him his application for the permit to operate in Aruba waters. He didn't care to ask. Because the DEA speedboats can move in and out of Aruba ports without any problem, then he is going to let Persistence following the DEA trails. Tim has it all figured out.

Anonymous said...

Aruba plans to intercept the marine scientist at its airport and gives him a hard time. The scientist ought to maintain contact with the DEA office at the airport.

Anonymous said...

These men are American heroes. There is no limit how far this little research ship can travel. The Arubans are frustrated to see Persistence coming to town. Can they expel her, no they can't. Because the Dutch is going to kill them Arubans all. The Dutch just realize how important the US is. They want US to sell them the VTOL aircraft. The US relationship was damaged by the Arubans.

Anonymous said...

Aruban prosecutor Han Mos is a liar. Aruban judge is also a liar. The American people don't trust them. The Aruban law has no meaning but the criminals.

Anonymous said...

Persistence could be here in Aruba anytime. Aruba has no clue. Bitter infightings between the Dutch and Arubans. Dutch is the Dutch from Holland. Arubans include white Dutch Arubakers and local native black Arubans. The Arubans want to firebomb Persistence with homemade explosives. The Dutch want to supply Persistence with water, food and fuel. And the Dutch have their gunboat cannons aiming at the Aruban Parliament buildings.

Anonymous said...

Ruddy talked to the reporters that one eye of Aruba was hit, and the face of beauty of Arubans were damaged by Joran's release and the make of the cold case of Natalee's rape and murder in Aruba. The eye of Aruban law justice was blinded by Mos and Smid. The face of tourism was marred by Ruddy. Aruba was getting some very bad advice from the American lawyer Joe Taco.

Anonymous said...

Persistence is a beautiful slimfast ship. My fair lady. The search for Natalee should be three dimensional. 1. Look out for the Arubans surface attacks. 2. Focus on the underwater graveyard. 3. Beam the images to the Satellite Internet. This search is helpful in controlling the corruption and coverup of the Aruba government's wrong doings. The Dutch governement appreciate the fair lady Persistence very much.

Anonymous said...

The research ship is absorbing all the facts and dirty tricks of the crimes done by the ALE. Persistence is very young and smart, she can handle the job of finding Natalee well. There will be technical difficulties and political stoppage exchanged by the evil forces of Aruba. But in the end, Persistence will prevail. And brings Natalee home to USA.

Anonymous said...

Aruba remains silent on the cold case. The ship crew learn to keep Arubans in the dark and guessing where the ship is located near Aruba. The Arubans want to serve a warrant signed by judge Rik Smid to Persistence, and ask the ship to turn back. Again the Dutch said they will shoot the judge if he so desire. The Aruban fiasco just boils over the head of the Dutch Parliament.

Anonymous said...

Persistence might have found Natalee's remains already, and heads back to US. She just caught the Arubans off guard.

Anonymous said...

10 miles per hour, that's a very good godspeed, and Persistence travels fast. It was told the ship will arrive in Aruba in less than 9 hours from now. People wonder how the evil Arubans are going to reach to this good news. Do they welcome Persistence? Or they will fight Persistence off? People just don't know. The ship crew will just take things one at a time. The reputation of Aruba has been completely damaged by the closing of the Natalee case.

Anonymous said...

The American hero spirit is represented by Presistence's arrival in Aruba. Aruba will make it or breake it depending how it treats Persistence. Aruba has sinned, it needs to redeem itself from the hellfire. Aruba is used to be a God fearing nation, but no more. Persistence comes to Aruba as God's messenger, Aruba needs to heed the warnings from God.

Anonymous said...

Joran has been real quiet about Persistence coming over to Aruba to recover Natalee's remains. He lied about the beach story, but a trace of truth in his lies indicates Natalee was thrown into the sea bottom. The fish trap might have his shoes in it. Joran is not afraid because judge Rik Smit slept and had sex with his mother, and he witnessed their affair. Smid will not accept Natalee's remains and Joran's shoes as the new evidence. Smid will rule Persistence plants the evidences there at sea.

Anonymous said...

The boat just arrived. The Arubans did not let the boat dock and do some repairs. They hate Persistence. The Arubans are depressed and angry, they are afraid what the ship is going to find out their sea burial ground. The Arubans will not let the boat buy water, food, medical supplies and fuel. They just want them go and turn back.

Anonymous said...

It's all Smid and Mos mistakes. Aruba hotels have a very miserable Christmas holidays season. Tourists hate Aruba, they are not spending money there. The waiters in the cafe are laid off, no work.
The whole downtown is a ghost town.
The Arubans are complaining about their government wasting so much money in the trade shows, and not taking care of the Natalee case.

Anonymous said...

Persistence is the Christmas ship who brings the Christmas child Natalee Holloway home. That will be the most happy Christmas for many Americans, but not for the Arubans. There are no free turkey dinners for the cholers this Christmas because they don't receive any charities from the Red Cross. Red Cross feels the Aruban government embezzled the donations.

Reading about this search, the dedication and determination that have led to it, would bring tears to anyone's eyes. It almost seems as though the two and a half years of dealing with Aruba and the scum who run the hellhole have depleted everyone's tear ducts, though.

So let's have some more appropriate emotions.

First, a great feeling of pride in those Americans whose generosity and decency are enabling the search to be carried out.

Next, an even greater determination (if that is possible) that JUSTICE WILL BE DONE in this case, and that, if Natalee Holloway's remains are in the waters off Aruba, that they will be found. And that Aruba will NEVER have an excuse to let the perpetrators and their allies off free.

And finally, let this memory burn eternally ... the Dutch and Arubans, whose DUTY it is to carry out this search, have contributed NOTHING. Not money, not personnel, not caring.

Then again, who wants them? Let Americans do the work ... and then let Americans put the seal of doom on the hellhole of Aruba by avoiding the place forever.

Stanza from a song I wrote some time back:

"Now our boycott makes Arubans all afraid --
Wretched curs, to cry to those who you betrayed!
Let this message leave you trembling and dismayed;
We'll fight for Natalee!"

Anonymous said...

Aruban Prosecutor Dop Kruimel and Hans Mos are stumped. Persistence is kind of slipping past them. They would do anything to stop her voyage. And they never took Persistence seriously. Now it's too late, the ball is in their court. Kruimel wished Dave and Tim would ask for a permit as requested by Dompig in the last couple of searches. So Aruba would have some legal means to deny the entry of Persistence into Aruban waters. The brains of ALE are marshmallowed.

Koen's boat's propeller might have hit the steel wire trap and got twisted. So Koen took the boat to the shop for replacement of an used propeller. Julia bought his boat and still had the receipt.

Anonymous said...

Aruban prosecutors can still arrest Persistence for suspicion of stealing the Aruban government property. The large fish trap is the forensic evidence, commented by Ramm.

Anonymous said...

The American oil work tugs will share the fresh water and food supply with Persistence. The work tug captain just heard the rumors the Arubans conspired the grocery man to inject poison of cyanide into the meat and vegetables. The Arubans really want to murder the ship crew.

Anonymous said...

The crew might discover the big steel cage already. They started working right away and not waiting til next Tuesday. The crew were contacting FBI for protection. The Arubans are coming to plot against the Persistence. They are the murderous atheists lead by Joran the Gangs. Julia was tipping the gangs where Persistence is thru Greta. Beth told Greta about the plan before she went to Aruba to visit Mos.

Anonymous said...

Rudy Croes pushes Han Mos to end the cold case and arrest the Persistence crew for damage control, he thinks the recent arrest of J2K is damaging the image of Aruba.

Anonymous said...

The Persistence ship has a good looking side view, very sexy and steel. She finds more than one large fish trap already. FBI falls in love of the ship and will not let the evil Arubans to harm her. DEA can shoot and kill if any of those Aruban rogue come closer to Persistence. They will bring the cages up at night so the evil Arubans won't see them and make the claims. Joe Taco secretly prepares lawsuits to file at NYC Superior Court for the Arubans to impound Natalee's remains as soon as Greta reports it. Greta believes the crab trap, but it's not Joran, and it's someone else done it.

Anonymous said...

The Dutch is not involved, reported by Ramm. The Dutch supports the Persistence search. Only the Arubans insist to arrest Persistence, but they don't have the resources and manpower. Many ALE policemen don't know how to swim in the deep ocean. Oduber is contacting Chavez for military assistance to contain Persistence. The relationships between the Dutch and Arubans are strained and damaged beyond repairs. Rudy will declare Aruba's independence soon before December 31 along with Joran's independence from prison.

Anonymous said...

There are two blue barrels visible at a distance. RU said blue barrel is more believable, most barrels are 5 ft tall. So the seabed is really a massive bodies dumping site. So many human remains are out there. No wonder Aruba only had few murder cases in last 20 years. Amy Bradley may be among those remains. It is just so horrifying. What had Aruba have done!

Anonymous said...

The pending motions at Prime Minister's desk are justified and cleared. The Arubans have decided to attack.

Anonymous said...

Persistence can search more than 100 meters deep of sea water, that is about a thousand feet down to the ocean floor. ALE could have borrowed the Dutch submarine to do that. The Dutch submarine is old, but it has a manhole for the divers to get out to the bottom seabed to find the crab trap. ALE just dragged their feet and did the coverup instead.

Anonymous said...

FBI will not let ALE have the remains. It is the US jurisdiction. US grand jury will indict J2K in US Court.

Anonymous said...

ALE asked Chavez if they can borrow one of his Russian submarines to get to the crab trap before Persistence can get there in time. They figured Persistence is still under repairs from the storm damages.

Anonymous said...

In the sense Nico Jorg, the Public Prosecution Service Instructions General hates Aruban government justice minister Rudy Croes who is the boss of Hans Mos and Nick Richardson. Nico Jorg openly supports the American Persistence movement in the sense to uproot and remove Joran, the face damaging agent for the Aruban government on the Natalee murder case.

Anonymous said...

When the Dutch is on our side, who can work against us. John Silvetti was able to refuel the ship yesterday in Aruba with out any problem. Persistence crew is ready to search Natalee tomorrow. All the equipments are working well. Chavez called Oduber, his submarine will be following Persistence tonight. People just don't know what the future will hold. What if Chavez follows Oduber's suggestion to torpedo Persistence? What will happen then? I think we better call President Bush about this terrorist threat from Aruba and Chavez.

Why would there be such an extensive coverup for the Vandersloots? Why, unless others participated in this who are connected. Just imagine the money lost on tourism, the coverup in general, legal fees, etc because of this. This really is strange. Something other than the usual has taken place with this case. J/b
