In the run up to the interview with Joran on ABC a tape was released by ABC showing both Natalee and Joran in a casino at the same time, at the same table and on the night that she was last seen alive.

They were not sitting next to one another, they did not appear to be a "couple" in any sense of that word. Two kids surrounded by other kids playing a casino-type game. Nothing sinister, nothing suspicious and nothing to indicate that Natalee was falling down drunk or coming on to Joran van der Sloot. There is nothing that indicates that he was coming on to her either.

Skip ahead to the Dan Abrams Show today and the appearance of one of the chaperones who went on that trip to Aruba along with Natalee and her high school friends.

He states that most of the kids on the trip were 18 years of age and were allowed to come and go freely. He states that the chaperones met daily with the entire group and contrary to rumors none of those kids misbehaved, broke things in hotel rooms or caused anyone any trouble at all.

When asked to describe Natalee he states that she was not a party girl, was quiet and a very nice young lady. Another chaperone went to Carlos & Charlie's that night and when asked, said that nothing wild or untoward took place. There was no drunken behavior on the part of Natalee or anyone else. No one was out of control. No one paid any particular attention to Joran who was also there because they had no idea at that time that he might be a danger to anyone. That came later after Natalee left with him and was never seen again.

So, if Natalee wasn't falling down drunk prior to leaving Carlos & Charlie's with the Kalpoe's and Joran how did she manage to be going "in and out of consciousness" as stated by Joran in one of his many statements to the Aruban police? If Natalee was NOT drunk prior to leaving that bar how did she suddenly get drunk? Did she have some help? Was something that she drank while in the company of Joran and friends spiked? Was a drug put into her drink?

Hearing what the chaperone had to say I believe more than ever before that Natalee Holloway was rendered incapable of taking care of herself. That she was forced into a position of submission via a drug of some kind that made her go "in and out of consciousness". How could Natalee have consented to ANY type of relationship of sexual nature with Joran or anyone else if she was "going in and out of consciousness?

She couldn't.

She had to be unable to make decisions for herself and that condition had to have been forced on her between the time that she left Carlos & Charlie's and the time that she disappeared. It doesn't take long for a drug to work itself through a person's system. Maybe 15 minutes to a half hour at most and even more rapidly if that person happens to be on some prescribed or over the counter medication like an antihistamine.


There was plenty of time between the time she left that sleazy bar and ended up missing for someone to have drugged Natalee Holloway, had sexual contact with her and perhaps after she passed out, passed away, or was forcibly harmed; to get rid of her. The first night the place where Natalee was stashed...dead or dying may have been on land. In a place that was hidden from view but easy enough to return to later on especially if you were a resident of Aruba and knew it's landmarks like the back of your hand. A place like the Sand Dunes.

The night after Natalee disappeared when the sun went down and the Holloway/Twitty's were at Joran's home and he wasn't there, was that when he and others retrieved Natalee and moved her to a friend's boat? Was she then taken out to sea where the water was deep enough to hide her and from where she would not surface or float back to shore? Was she placed in a lobster cage that went conveniently missing the very same night that Natalee went missing? It would have been heavy enough to keep her under the water.


The fact that Joran's friend used his boat that night is quite convenient also. The fact that Paulus made withdrawals from an ATM machine that night makes sense too if he needed to pay people to help remove Natalee's body. The fact that no one seems to be able to explain who took Joran home from his trip to the beach that night is odd.

At first Joran claimed that he called Deepak and that he picked him up and drove him home. When Deepak was PROVEN to have been home and on his computer at the time that Joran claimed that he was picking him up created a need for Joran to switch brothers so it went from Deepak to Satish. Satish was also at home and has denied picking Joran up. Paulus denies picking Joran up yet Joran swears that a friend brought him home...first he said that he walked home but that story didn't wash either so now a friend brought him home. What friend? What is his name? Have the police verified this? How did Joran get home?

After Paulus coached the three boys not to talk and probably told them to stick to ONE story they made up the security guard yarn. That didn't hold up either. Paulus, you're slipping as an attorney. You couldn't even control your "clients". They told too many lies to be controlled or to even keep up with. The lies kept on coming one after the other and tomorrow night on ABC, they will continue.

Joran, who is said to be both contrite and indignant will continue to lie because the truth would put him where he belongs...behind bars.

We may not know exactly what happened to Natalee that night and we may never know all of the details but any thinking person knows the following facts:

Natalee was not drunk when she left the bar with Joran and the Kalpoes

Natalee was not drinking all day and partying wildly on Aruba

Joran lied about what he did with Natalee, as did the Kalpoe brothers

Joran continues to lie

Paulus protects those lies because they are coming from the mouth of his son.

Natalee is gone and the last person who has admitted to having seen her alive is and was Joran van der Sloot. NO ONE else has been found or come forward to dispute this. In almost 9 months...NO ONE but Joran van der Sloot was with Natalee before she disappeared.

To those who know the truth...come forward now.

Set Natalee and her parents free. Let the people of Aruba have their Island back. Let the tourists come to spend their money on your island and help you take care of your families. End the boycott and the suspicion and the bad feelings that so many of us have about Aruba. Don't let a few people ruin things for you. Come forward and tell the truth.

Feb. 22, 2006 — In an exclusive interview with ABC News' Chris Cuomo for "Primetime," Joran Van der Sloot, the Dutch teen seen with American Natalee Holloway the night she disappeared from Aruba in May, said he planned to have sex with her when they left a bar together.

My favorite quotes from Joran--these are instant classics:

"We were planning on going to my house, because she said she wanted to go to my house," he said. "My intention was to take her to the house to have sex with her."

But the couple did not end up sleeping together, he said. "I asked her if she wanted to have sex, and she was fine with it," he said. "I didn't have a condom with me though in my wallet, and I won't have sex with a girl without a condom." (A PIMP without a condom? I'm shocked! By the way, this is another story I haven't heard. Which number lie is this? 240?)

"She didn't seem drunk," he said. "She seemed like she drank a lot, but there's a difference between someone being absolutely drunk and someone … actually having had a couple drinks." (You would know Joran...you are a teen alcoholic!)

"In Aruba that was part of my lifestyle … going out, being single and picking up girls," he said. "Going out with them, having a good time and then saying goodbye." (Admitting that he is a sexual predator!)

"I didn't want anyone to know," he said. "I didn't want anyone to know I left her at the beach." (You didn't want anyone to know that you left her dead on the beach...buried in the sand until you could ask Daddy for help.)

When asked why, after all the lying he's done, his word should be credible, he said, "There's absolutely no reason to believe me." "I would probably not believe myself, no," he added.

I have no problem in admitting if I am wrong. At the very moment I am watching Dan Abrams on MSNBC. I saw a closer video of Natalee at the casino table, and I DID see a drink in her hand. So to those of you who ripped me a new ass, MY BAD. See? I am a dignified human, I will gladly admit fault if I am wrong.

Whereas, some people named Joran won't and refuse to admit fault.

But it still doesn't matter if she was drinking...it's still a case of blaming the victim. Joran can go on TV and tell his lies, but Natalee can't defend herself.


I can't wait until we find out the truth, because you all who are Beth/Natalee haters will have a huge-ass egg wiped all over your evil faces.

These are some great quotes (excerpts) from the Rita Cosby Show when she spoke with Beth Twitty's attorney, John Q. Kelly. This guy has his act together and God on his side. I feel that Beth, Natalee and their family will prevail. As John mentions, it's a long process...but I feel that when this is all said and done, we will know the truth and justice will be served one way or another.

COSBY: John, how surprised, from your guys on the ground, were Joran and his parents when they were slapped with these lawsuits separately?

JOHN Q. KELLY: Total surprise on both their parts, as I understand it, Rita.

KELLY: No. In fact, it was—both services were memorialized. We have videotape of Paulus Van Der Sloot being served in the lobby of the hotel, and he's just sort of stunned silent, staring at the papers. And Joran, same thing. We have a picture of him holding the papers, just standing there, staring at them at the aisle of a Delta flight on the runway at JFK.

COSBY: ... How did they actually approach Joran on the plane?

KELLY: ...we had our investigator three rows in front of him, just standing there, waiting for him. Joran was going to be the last one off, to be escorted out by Customs, and we had our man in front of him, blocking his way, where he had nowhere to go, nowhere to hide. And he got served right in the aisle there.

COSBY: ...Did he say anything?

KELLY: It's my understanding that when he was served the papers, he said, Thank you.

COSBY: How long had this been in the works for, John? Because it's quite impressive to be able—you got parents coming from Aruba. You got him coming from Holland—to coordinate this. How long did you have it in the works, though?

KELLY: Everything just happened very quickly, starting early on Wednesday morning, the 15th. We got word that the Van Der Sloots might be heading to New York. We then—I then talked to Dave and Beth and got authorization to draw up the complaint for filing. We then confirmed that Paulus had left Aruba, was heading for New York. So we had a surveillance team waiting to pick him up and sit on him at the lobby at the hotel. We then confirmed Joran was leaving from Amsterdam, so we had an agent going from London's Heathrow airport over to Amsterdam, get on the flight in front of him to serve him and served the complaint Thursday mid-morning, e-mailed the index number to both the plane and the surveillance team, and caught Paulus in the lobby at about 1:00 o'clock. And he couldn't communicate with Joran. And then we caught Joran when the plane landed at JFK.

(Regarding Begin Served) ANITA VAN DER SLOOT: We thought, Oh, no big deal, it will not happen. But what is happening now is that somebody here must have informed the family that we're here.

COSBY: ... we talked to someone close to the Van Der Sloots, and let me put a little quote...they said, “The family is very disappointed what happened last Thursday. They feel this was a public relations stunt orchestrated by John Q. Kelly and Beth Holloway and the lawsuit has no merits.” Was this just for publicity, John?

KELLY: No. Absolutely not. We feel very comfortable with the cause of actions. We certainly had jurisdiction over them. And they were the ones that thought they could flaunt this system, thumb their noses at us and come into our, you know, home court, into New York, and put their spin on things, and we certainly weren't going to let that happen.

KELLY: They have, technically, 20 days to respond because they were served in person. It's up to them what, affirmatively, they're going to do now.

COSBY: And do you think they'll respond? And what happens if they don't?

KELLY: ...It'll be a default judgment...It's kind of ironic that they're talking about it's a publicity stunt, and they were the ones coming into New York to do their series of interviews and do their PR stints here. That was their sole purpose of coming here, as I understand it, to do interviews and air what they had to say. So it hardly was a publicity stunt. They were the ones seeking the publicity, and they're the ones that'll pay the price for it.

COSBY: When you talk about default, what can happen legally? Because the big question is how much jurisdiction? Can we enforce this? If they say, Look, we're not going to respond, we're not going to do anything, then what happens? What can U.S. authorities legally do if they go forward?

KELLY: Well, if they don't respond, then we can move for a default judgment. Then you go to an inquest for damages, of which they wouldn't participate in. A judgment could be entered after the default and the inquest, and we can execute on that back in Aruba against them.

COSBY: So you're saying that somebody actually could go down there, can say, Look, we're going to collect, if it actually wins in the case?

KELLY: Absolutely.

(In regards to the family wanting money out of the civil suit) KELLY: Doesn't matter. You know, we're looking for answers, we're not looking for money. We're not looking for assets. We're looking for a resolution. We're looking for Natalee. That's what we're looking for.

KELLY: Well, it's my understanding—I talked to Karin Janssen actually several times in the last couple days, and she just got back from Holland, and it's my understanding they're going back in the sand dunes with the Dutch dogs now. They're not going to use the FBI dogs. And they're going to use the ground sonar provided by the Netherlands Forensic Institute and finally do a—finally do a thorough search of the sand dunes, the pond location by the racquet club and a couple other places, too.

COSBY: And when are they doing this? And why has it taken so long, John?

KELLY: I don't know. it just—I guess red tape (No, really? Go figure!?), and a lot of different pieces have to be pulled together....I intend to be down there in the next couple of weeks and talk and see where all this is.

KELLY: What I do every month. I like to sit down with Janssen and Dompig and see what they have to report and what progress has been made. And at this point, I've been asked to and I'm sharing some information with them also, seeing if we can advance the ball a little bit.

Julia Renfro Part Deux

Last night, February 20th, appearing on "On The Record" with Greta Van Susteren, was the co-writer of Dave Holloway's book about Aruba and his daughter Natalee. The gentleman's name is Larry Garrison and the words that came out of his mouth were shocking and disturbing.

Greta asked him if he had persuaded Joran van der Sloot to come to NYC so that he could be served with a subpoena by the Holloway/Twitty legal team. Mr. Garrison replied that he had not attempted to get Joran to come to the USA for any other reason than he had brokered the deal between ABC and the van der Sloots for an interview that will air this week.

I should add here that it was Julia who threw down the gauntlet where Mr. Garrison was concerned and implied via telephone conversation to Greta, that Mr. Garrison had tricked Joran into coming to America.

Mr. Garrison spoke about wanting to hear "both sides of the story" since he had already co-authored a book with Natalee Holloway's father and that he wanted Joran to be able to tell his side of the story as well.

What was shocking was that when Greta asked Larry who he thought had possibly tipped off the Holloway/Twitty legal team he commented that it might have been Julia Renfro.

He stated that Julia herself, was planning on writing a book that would claim that Natalee was pregnant by her step-father (Jug Twitty) and that she had disappeared of her own volition and was probably still alive. I admit that it took me a few seconds to recover from the absurdity of this comment but when I did I decided that Julia Renfro was a far more sinister person that even I believed her to be.

According to Mr. Garrison, Julia wanted the interview with Joran and his family and was upset that a deal had been brokered elsewhere and maybe she had tipped off someone that the van der Sloots were coming to NYC and that Joran would be on a specific plane at a specific time. I don't know if Mr. Garrison spoke the truth about the "tip" because he himself was accused of convincing Joran to fly to America (which he denies) and he may have been deflecting the blame to someone else.

I DO know this...the very thought that Julia Renfro might have been planning to write a book claiming that Natalee was pregnant by her step-father is disgusting and Julia would not have one shred of proof to back this up.

As I mentioned in my first blog, Julia befriended Beth and her husband when they first came to Aruba. She offered to help them and to aid them in their search for Natalee. What made her change her mind toward these grief-stricken people who have never wanted anything but answers?

Let me offer my own ideas as to why this may have happened. Julia works for a newspaper. Newspapers like to get information before anyone else (just like all of the media whether it be print or electronic). Julia figured that by befriending Beth that she would get all of the information before anyone else did. That was not to happen because soon enough Aruba was besieged by media from all over the world. Greta was there, Rita was there, everyone was there, and Beth was followed from place to place and Greta even sat in on meetings that Beth had with the van der Sloots in their home. Greta and Rita were on the scene, "On The Record" and "Live and Direct"....Julia was left behind to pick up the crumbs.

Even El Diario got more tips than Julia's paper did. Julia must have been livid. She has so many financial interests on Aruba and so much to protect that when it began to look like the police were NOT going to communicate with the Holloway/Twitty's and that Beth was going to have to investigate her daughter's disappearance herself, I believe that Julia (like the preverbal worm), turned.

Boycott? Keystone Kops? Lies? Drugs? Sleazy Nightclubs, kids drinking and gambling underage? How must Julia have felt seeing and hearing her precious Island battered in the American media?

She began a campaign of her own and there was no Cable News Show that she wouldn't appear on. Whether via telephone interview or on satellite...Julia was there to give "the other side". She would throw in a reference here and there that indicated that the Aruban police were doing a good job, that the investigation was going strong, continuing, making progress, anything to protect her Island and her interests.

Now we hear that she was planning on writing a bogus book about a girl she never knew with facts so disgusting and salacious that I have to question what sources she used to obtain such sleaze. Maybe Joran was her source; that man of his word, that pillar of society, that good son. Who knows? I doubt that authenticity matters much to Julia Renfro, I doubt that proof and truth factored into the decision to come up with such a disgusting idea in the first place.

I am now eagerly awaiting Julia's first defensive move. I suspect that it may come first on The Abrams Report or on Rita Cosby's show or maybe even on Greta's show since the co-author made his comments on there in the first place. I expect to see Julia all over the place in the next few days. I also expect that one of the hosts of the above mentioned shows will ask the right questions of Julia, "Where did you get your information"? "How do you know that Natalee was pregnant"? "who were your sources for an allegation of such magnitude?"

Of course, Julia can refuse to give the names of her sources or answer in a vague manner. That is so-called freedom of the press isn't it? Protect your sources...even when they are either non-existent or lying?

I can't wait to hear your defense or denials Julia. Let the games begin because many of us will be watching and listening AND reporting on YOU.

Joran van der Sloot went to the US for a fair chance

ARUBA – “I wanted a fair chance”, said Joran van der Sloot in an interview with Nova about his trip to New York. His parents and his lawyer advised him not to go to New York, but he still did last Thursday.


He was invited for an interview with the American TV ABC. He didn’t know that a citation was awaiting him once he touched American soil. Nova showed his parents, who also received a citation, trying their best to impede their son to go through customs. But that was too late already, because he had already received the writ on the airplane, which added a new chapter to the missing Natalee Holloway soap.


The reception at the airport was very rough; everywhere people tried to besiege him. He was also interrogated by the customs department for three hours. In the interview he said that his biggest mistake was leaving the girl on the beach by herself.


He said that Holloway was not a super nice girl (he said in his National Enquirer interview "I am not saying its all her…I liked her", he also said, "she was very nice. She was kind, and I feel horrible..."), like everybody pictures her. “She was very pushy. She asked to come along and she didn’t want to get out of the car, even when her friends called her.” After showing her around, she and Joran were dropped off at the beach. Joran had to go home after a while though, because he had classes the net morning. “She wanted me to stay with her on the beach.”


Joran said that Satish Kalpoe had picked him up from the beach, something that the police are still questioning (He said at one point that he WALKED home...and then also said his dad picked him up at McDonalds. Which is it Joran? You are getting your lies confused.)


According to Joran, it was very stupid of him to lie at first, saying that the three boys had dropped Holloway off at the Holiday Inn. “We though that it was going to be ok and that she would show up in a few days.” He lied because he didn’t want to admit that he had left the girl alone on the beach.



Joran went to the US to get a fair chance and to proof his innocence. “I have never been aggressive with any girl.” ABC will broadcast the interview with Joran this coming Thursday evening.

I won't be running home to the TV.
I'll hear about it and just laugh at what a joke it was.

STEVE YUHAS IS A PATHETIC EXAMPLE OF A HUMAN BEING

Here some worthy adjectives to describe Steve Yuhas after reading his pathetic excuse of an article and listening to his pitiful interview on Birmingham Radio Station News Radio 960 WBRC that you can listen to here. It is definitely worth listening to.

Steve Yuhas, you are all of these things and more: despicable, detestable, disgusting, evil, foul, heinous, mean, offensive, repulsive, revolting, uncool, vicious, nasty and vile.

I am embarassed that there are Americans out there that have this attitude towards Natalee and her parents. What have they done but try and get answers and find their daughter?

Let's imagine this scenario:

A European girl comes to American on vacation with friends in Florida. During her stay, she meets an American male who comes from a prominent and wealthy family and who is locally infamous as a male whore and excessive drinker with a known past of anger management issues. This boy befriends the European girl, and allegedly drugs her, gang rapes her with his friends, kills her (whether accidently or purposely) and disposes of her body off the coast of Florida.

If European people became outraged that the U.S. police did not do their job and began to boycott America because our shitty law enforcement who are covering up evidence, along with the smarmy Florida boy who told lie after lie in his interrogations--let me tell you something...

I would want to string that little rich boy up and beat the confession out of him. He would be an embarrassment to America and I wouldn't be able to stand the fact that some rich sociopath who thinks he is above the law would bring our entire country down because he won't own up to his actions. Here's a perfect example of scum of the same caliber: Kennedy cousin, Michael Skakel. At least after 30 years he's finally in prison for the rest of his life and is paying for his heinous killing of Martha Moxley.

See my point??? If you are just as outraged as me, contact good old Steve-o below. I plan on sending this to him this myself. I feel embarassed for his parents that they raised such trash.

Beth Twitty is working on a boycott? Amazing - nobody is listening, even with the two governors from the poorest states in America joining in. (There are 3 governors, Steve-o) In fact - Aruba is having a banner year in tourism; (it's actually dropped, see this article and this article, and this article, and this one, too...) probably thanks to Twitty showing the world the beauty of the place and just how safe it is. (Read what Bill Clinton said about Aruba in 1996).

Keep up the boycott work though as I'm sure the people of Aruba appreciate it. And tell Beth hello since all of you people who write from Alabama claim to be working with her or are related (all that cousin marrying is going to cause genetic harm down there). Keep up the good work and I'll try fixing my pathetic life on the beach today - you people keep me in business.

Says that Natalee went to Aruba so she could drink legally: (So, that's the only reason why Natalee went to Aruba? To drink? Give me a break!)

Regarding the boycott: (Prove that it's not working. Three State Governors approve, millions of Americans approve. Just do your homework and look at the figures...check the net, including this blog, Steve-o!)

Regarding Beth's civil suit against the VDS family...he says it's about money: (They filed a civil suit in order to obtain all the evidence Steve-o...it's not about money. Maybe that's the way you live and think, but not everyone in this world is as morally corrupt as you!) and (Again, see my above point and imprint it in your little puny brain.)


Questions how Beth raised her daugther to be stupid enough to get into a car with strangers: (How do you know how Beth raised her daughter? With Natalee's track record, it seems that Beth did a fine job as a parent as far as I'm concerned with a full-ride scholarship in pre-med.)


Regarding her meeting with Deepak at the Cybercafe: (She did not orchestrate that...she was followed by the media. I speak to Beth, do you? Have you asked her if she "orchestrated" her meeting with Deepak? I don't think so.)


He talks about the failed boycott again: (Again, see my point above Steve-o...wow this is getting stale...)


Steve-o suggests that it's Natalee's parents fault and they should be the ones who feel guilty: (Why should her family feel GUILTY? It's the Van der Sloots and all those involved who should feel guilty, you imbecile.)

The Natalee Holloway case inspired more strong opinions and dramatic statements Monday. A radio talk-show host and a chaperone from the Aruba trip squared off over the Birmingham airwaves. "Were you there?""No...Neither were you. Where were you on the night Natalee disappeared?"

It was a hot-tempered exchange that lit up the switchboard at WERC-AM. A California radio talk show host blamed Natalee Holloway's parents for her disappearance in Aruba."You can't send a girl like that if she is so ignorant, naive, innocent, to party like an adult," said Steve Yuhas, a San Diego talk show host. "They did not adequately prepare their daughter for the trip to Aruba. She thought it was OK to get drunk, leave a bar, get into a car, and go where ever she went."

Yuhas was a guest Monday on WERC-AM's "Nate and J.T. Show." His comments brought phone calls from dozens of listeners."They just couldn't believe that somebody would actually have this point of view and called them ignorant," said co-host Nate Sherman, after the show had ended.

One of the callers was Bob Plummer, who was a chaperone on the Aruba trip, and was one of the first adults to find out Natalee was missing. Plummer spoke with NBC 13 in an exclusive interview, and said what he heard on the radio Monday morning made him mad."I've gotten so fed up with hearing people spread misinformation about what went on, why it went on," said Plummer. He feels that Yuhas' views on the Holloway case are a publicity stunt.

Yuhas, not surprisingly, disagrees. "I wrote an article for my readers and I talked about it to my listeners and other people picked up on it," he said. Yuhas is also taking aim at the Holloway family's lawsuit against Joran Van Der Sloot and his father, which was filed last week." Filing this suit was vindictive in a way," said Yuhas "I think to get Beth Holloway back on the talk show circuit because she hasn't been there in a while."

"He (Yuhas) doesn't put any blame on the criminals that actually took care of Natalee and either kidnapped her or murdered her," said WERC host J.T. "He seems to want to blame Natalee Holloway and her parents." "It leaves a real bad taste in my mouth for him to sit there and try to judge someone from across the country and he has no, no knowledge of the inside information and what went on, what the kids were doing, how the parents felt and what the parents are going through now. He has no idea," said Plummer.

Holloway's family had no reaction to Yumas' column or his comments on local radio. A family spokesperson said their focus is on the upcoming search in Aruba.

If once is good, twice must be better?

First you debased yourself and your audience by giving the family a free ride on puff piece "Good Morning America." Now you bring them to New York. Did you take them to see the Statue of Liberty? Did Joran gaze at the symbol of freedom with a lustful look in his eye ... or was he smirking at his star status? Maybe he caught on to the credo of today's news ... celebrity, or infamy (the two seem to be equivalent these days) is the all.

True, the process of the law did catch up with them ... I'm sure you were red-faced in your apologies that they weren't exempt from our legal workings. But no matter ... you'll shelter them. After all, look at what they are doing for you. No shirking on treatment for a son who has been trapped in over 20 lies, a father who coached his son to deceive and deny, and a mother whose main achievement seems to be denial of reality.

Will you give other criminals star treatment too? Maybe you've got an eye out for a movie ... starring Joran van der Sloot! He does have the ability to lie ... and smirk ... and kill?

I can imagine the reaction of Natalee's parents had they found out that Joran had come to New York on an all-expenses-paid trip to get a hands-off media freebie. What would you think of next, a "meet the van der Sloots at home" special?

I doubt that you are capable of understanding the utter lack of decency that this episode displays. I am certain that if you could, you wouldn't care. But if you have a minimum sense of fairness, not to mention the obligatory nod to journalistic credos, you will give the Holloway Twitty family or their representatives a chance to raise some questions. I'll volunteer ... I have a long list. Or would the notion that the bereaved family has some legitimate concern in your media joy ride be too difficult for you to grasp?

I do congratulate you ... I once said that you could not act in a more contemptible manner than you did with "Good Morning America." As things stand now, I expect to be proven wrong.

JULIA RENFRO--THE EX-PATRIATE BACKSTABBER

Here are some quotes from Julia Renfro. Who is she aside from the owner of the Aruban newspaper. "Aruba Today"? What is her interest in allowing the cover-up on Aruba to continue? Does Julia have anything to gain in a personal sense from stopping the boycott of Aruba, from having the real truth come out?

The answer is YES.


Julia's Vested Interest?

Julia emailed me several months ago after reading a few words in an article that I wrote for the Useless Knowledge Magazine. I had used words to the effect that everyone should be treated fairly including the Aruban people. She also mentioned that she hadn't read any of my other articles. If she had I doubt that I would have received such a friendly email from Julia.

When Natalee first went missing Julia was all over Beth Twitty like white on rice When Julia realized that Beth was not going to stop in her search for the truth and that she was beginning to realize that the Aruban authorities were not going to answer her questions, properly investigate the case or cooperate in any way Julia changed her tune. She became a spokeswomen for the Island's tourist business. Julia has a lot to lose if the boycott grows.

It is not beyond Julia to make false claims while appearing on the American media even though witnesses have disputed what she has said about Natalee's family.

Julia will go to any lengths to protect her Island and her vested interests. I doubt that a little thing like the truth will get in her way. We had Arlene Ellis Shippers and we now have Julia Renfro screeching about how poor Aruba has been treated unfairly by Beth Twitty and the American media....but is Julia telling the truth?


It's bad enough that the Holloway/Twitty family have lost their daughter but to add insult to injury we have the Arlenes and the Julias to dig the knife in even deeper into their hearts. If you are a "frequent visitor to Aruba" and if you read Julia's newspaper which panders to the tourist crowd as well as to Aruban's who live on the Island there is very little possibility that you will EVER find out the truth of what goes on in Aruba.

I suggest that you find some other reading material if you wish to be informed and if you wish to protect yourself and your children from the corruption that IS Aruba no matter how Julia and people like her attempt to gloss it over.

ARUBA TRUTH--CIVIL SUIT IS NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY

The filing of a civil suit by the Holloway-Twitty family against Joran and Paulus van der Sloot does not alter the case of the prosecution in Aruba. In fact, the suit has no new information to add to the investigation.

The suit’s allegations are a mix of known events, facts, and anecdotes (Anecdote? The definition is "A short account of an interesting or humorous incident". Is this humorous for Aruba, or is that just another one of their misinterpretations of the English language?) that are unsubstantiated. And there is no reference to witnesses or corroboration for most of the charges. (What about the 5 new witnesses that Dompig claimed last week?) Still, the standards of proof in a civil case are less than in a criminal proceeding.

The suit seeks to establish New York as the city of jurisdiction and compel Paulus and Joran to testify in the case, if a New York judge agrees to the jurisdictional claim. New York attorneys like Mickey Sherman, an experienced litigator in those courts, believes it is unlikely jurisdiction will be granted, or that if granted the case will be accepted.

In any case, a civil case cannot compel the van der Sloots to return to New York to appear. Nor is it clear that if the case is accepted, and a judgment imposed, that under Dutch law it will hold force in Aruba.

While John Q. Kelly is best known for his civil case in the OJ Simpson case, where he successfully represented the victim’s family, this is hardly analogous.

O.J. was charged with murder, tried, and acquitted. In this case, charges have yet to be brought, the investigation is continuing, and no judgment to guilt or innocence has been made.

So, while this suit made for great drama and moved the case back into the public’s eye, it has not offered any new evidence (You don't know what John Q. Kelly has up his sleeve...never underestimate a genius attorney) or insight into the conduct of the investigation in Aruba.

Beth Twitty to Speak at Ball State University--"Save Yourself" Program, Stay Aware

With Spring Break 2006 fast coming upon us there is a hope that college and high schoolers use common sense, stay safe and learn from others past tragic events. Next month Beth Twitty, the mother of Natalee Holloway missing in Aruba, will speak to Ball State University and Wapahani High School students. Students should enjoy themselves on Spring Break, but they should also stay aware and safe.

Twitty’s “Save Yourself” program will be sponsored locally by Delaware County Sheriff George Sheridan and his department. “I wanted to get her in just before everybody goes on spring break,” Sheridan said. Sheridan has also invited students from Taylor, Indiana Wesleyan and Anderson universities and anyone else in the community who wants to attend.

Beth Twitty’s comments and her “Save Yourself” program focuses on how students can protect themselves when on vacation in third world countries where the laws are do drastically different from the US and the corruption exists. People need to understand the risks that exist and it is not as simple as going to a vacation resort in the United States.

Much of her program focuses on how young people can protect themselves from predators in foreign vacation destinations and how to deal with local law enforcement, Sheridan said. “A lot of these places are third-world countries,” Sheridan said. “So there’s a lot of corruption involved.” Twitty will also talk briefly about the investigation into her daughter’s disappearance.

Beth Twitty has made this her cause in life as she searches for answers and for her daughter. One of the legacies of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba will be that other individuals like Natalee will be better informed before they set off on vacations outside the US.

For those in Aruba that think the Natalee Holloway story is just going to go away, many thought the same of Adam Walsh.

Beth Twitty will champion the cause of informing high school teenagers and college students on the dangers that exist in foreign countries when they go to vacation.

During every speech at a high school or college the name of Natalee Holloway and Aruba will be mentioned.

During every speech that Beth Twitty does to help a family of another missing person the face of Natalee Holloway and visual of Aruba will be seen. Beth Twitty is not and will never give up until she gets answers as to the disappearance of her daughter. In the process Aruba will never be out of the limelight as to what occurred. Aruba, this isn’t going away and neither is Beth Twitty.
