Aruba’s geographical location makes the free zone a perfect oversea location for export business. The free zone of Aruba holds a strategic geographic position for transit trade to and from South America and the European Union. In the free zones of Aruba goods can be brought in duty free and subsequently stored, assembled, prepared, packed or manufactured for re-export. In addition, services can be rendered from the free zones to any place in the world.
Type of Business Activities
At present the companies operating in the free zone of Aruba conduct trade and/or light industrial business activities. They specialize in the distribution of brand name products, excise goods and other merchandise to Venezuela, Colombia, the Caribbean region and in processing goods for the European market.With the enactment of the new law, the State Ordinance Free Zones 2000 service oriented companies (excluding financial services) are also able to operate from the free zones. Mechanical engineers, software developers, business consultants and many other service businesses can benefit from the incentives offered by the Aruban free zone. Drop shipments (also a type of service activity), whereby the goods do not physically have to pass through the free zone of Aruba (that's because the drugs are dropped into the water and washed ashore), are also considered an export activity and the attractive 2% profit tax is applicable .

China is building some super aircraft carrier size container ships carrying their goods to Aruba's trade free zone for repackaging and distributions to the huge South American markets. Working with Odubar, the Chinese and Japanese civil and naval engineers will dredge the coast lines around Aruba to deepen the channels and enable the huge container ships to dock at the free trade zone. Odubar said he wants to keep all the sunken ship treasures from the hauls from the deep seabed. However, China says if they found Natalee's remains, they will turn her over to the American authorities directly since the operations will be carried out in international waters. China believes a good name is worth more than a thousand of empty words. The trust of the tourists is important in their business dealings.

It's bogus, You really think China is going to ship to aruba direct you don't know much about shipping.
Any idea what they will do with those empty containers when they are unloaded?
Do you have any idea how they ship to South America now?
The port of Aruba cannot handle this type of cargo or volume and is not even a good location to be considered a gateway. It's actually pathetic.
Who's going to bring the cargo from Aruba, there is no reason for this.
The Japanese civil engineers plan to fill the empty steel containers with the coral rocks dug up from the new building construction sites downtown. The filled containers are to be positioned on the seabed offshore the free trade zone to form a seawall foundation. The coastal area enclosed by the steel containers seawall will be become a new landfill. When the landfill gets filled and compacted and cemented, it will become a new piece of reclamation land for the expansion of the free trade zone new repackaging and regional shipping industries. The old landfill near the airport will be cleaned up to build more modern industrial research parks to serve the South America markets.
