MORE NARCOTIC SEIZURES--STARRING THE NETHERLANDS!
Again, I am asking...what is done with the seized drugs? I'd like to hear from the Dutch and tell us boycotters what they do with the drugs. As my previous post explains, I don't think the drugs are destroyed. I want to see their police/narcotic division protocol.
Massive heroin seizure in Brabant
28 July 2006 AMSTERDAM — The Dutch national detective service (Nationale Recherche) has seized 208 kilos of heroin in a car park in Oosterhout in North Brabant, it was revealed on Friday. The drugs were in boxes on a truck. The police moved in as four people were transferring the boxes to a smaller van on Wednesday. The 32-year-old Turkish driver of the truck, two men from Rotterdam, aged 25 and 30, and a 28-year-old man from Vlaardingen were to appear before a court on Friday. And, the Nationale Recherche found another 46 kilos of heroin hidden in a truck in Weesp on Thursday evening.

28 July 2006 AMSTERDAM —A Dutch woman, 18, has been caught with 20 kilos of cocaine in the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean. The unnamed woman was arrested as she was about to board a flight from Punta Cana Airport to Amsterdam, a spokesperson for the police drugs unit DNCD said. The drugs hidden in her baggage have an estimated street value of EUR 1 million.
She admitted she was recruited by a drugs gang to smuggle the consignment into the Netherlands. Over the years the Dominican Republic has become one of the most important transmit points for the smuggling of cocaine from Colombia to Europe and the US. Currently there are 45 Dutch people in jail in the Dominican Republic, almost all for drugs offences. This is the largest group of European prisoners in the Caribbean country.

Athens, 08:33--Greek Police cracked down on a drug smuggling channel in Corinth, Peloponnesus, responsible for transferring huge quantities of hashish from Holland to Greece.
Three persons have been arrested and another two charged for illegal drug trafficking, including a 27-year-old man, likely to have masterminded the smuggling operations, Kathimerini daily reported.T he group transported the narcotics in a lorry carrying frozen poultry, owned by another member of the criminal gang. Police found 100 kilograms of hashish during a raid in a house located in Corinth, Kathimerini said.

As you can see, that law dates back to 1928. That's at least how long drugs have been illegal in the Netherlands! There might have been another law before that...
You make it seem like the Dutch are the only ones smuggling drugs. There are PLENTY of Americans involved as well, you know. Why don't you report about them, or are you only reporting this because you are out to "destroy" (as if you could do that...ha! ha!) the Netherlands and Aruba?

First of all, I'd like to say that I am bashing your country because they could have come into Aruba and straightened things out and this would never be happening. Since The Netherlands has done NOTHING I am targeting them.
The fact that the U.S. has similiar problems is irrelevant to this situation at hand including the boycott. America is dealing with a victimized U.S. citizen who has no rights in another country. If it were any other country, we would feel the same way.
We are boycotting for justice. We are boycotting for lies, corruption and cover-ups. None of this had to occur. This is a self-inflicted demise only on the part of Aruba and The Netherlands for not stepping in.
I never considered boycotting the Netherlands until I learned about their history, their social standards, and their illegal connections and actions with Aruba.
We will all boycott until we find out the truth.
I have nothing against your people...just your government and all those involved.
Some of you people in Aruba know what happened to Natalee. Until WE get Natalee BACK and JUSTICE - the boycott will comtinue.

The Netherlands is a Country with a lot of good people and no one wanted to target those people. The problem with the Netherlands is what Michelle stated. The government of the Netherlands could have helped stop the lies and bogus stories that were told to Beth and Dave and the world and they could have stopped what has now been proven to be obvious...the Aruban government and police force is at the very least inept and some of them appear to be corrupt as well. Dompig is a perfect example of what I am talking about and so is Dennis Jacobs. The Netherlands could have made sure that these officers were not allowed to continue working on Natalee's case as soon as they realized that something was terribly wrong...but they didn't. Some law scholars from the Netherlands spoke out at how poorly the investigation was being run and that gave me hope for a short time that maybe the government in the Netherlands would do something to make things right. They DID NOT. Personally, I don't care what the law is in the Netherlands and how they run their Country, but I DO care about how they turned their back on an American citizen who went missing on an Island that comes under their governance. That is irresponsible and there is no excuse for it. If a Dutch citizen went missing in American territory I am positive that our government would pull out all of the stops to help find that person yet we were not afforded the same courtesy and decency regarding Natalee. She was no criminal, did not sell drugs or break any laws...she was a tourist who came to Aruba to enjoy what the Island had to offer and when she went missing her family was told to "go have a beer" at the same place she disappeared from. They were led on a roller coaster ride of lies and evasive behavior and ignored by the prosecutor.
When the Netherlands saw what was going on they should have stepped in as we are allies and friends and an American life should be worth something to them. I don't blame Michelle for targeting a Country who had such little regard for one of our own children. It's the Netherlands and Aruba who should hang their heads in shame...not Michelle, for trying to right THEIR wrongs. This is our only weapon and we have to use it. The boycott movement is our only way of voicing our outrage and sense of frustration and if the shoe fits then the Netherlands and Aruba must wear it. It isn't too late for the government of the Netherlands to step in on Aruba and start this investigation from the beginning. It isn't too late for them to do the right thing. What are they waiting for? We have waited for over a year and we have the right to protest.
